Right on the Water - Built by the present owner's grandfather in the 1930's, this home is as close to the water as you can get. All rooms have views of beautiful Pleasant Bay. Access to the water is from the swim steps at the end of the garden and from the dock which is shared with the adjacent Boathouse
The ground floor boasts a new, fully-equipped, kitchen, a guest half bath, a large living room, a den/breakfast nook, a large dining room and a bedroom with a wheelchair access bathroom. The ground-floor bedroom/bath is wheelchair-friendly, roomy, bright and sunny. Wheelchair ramps permit access to and from the exterior.
Although it boasts all the modern amenities (new kitchen, etc.), it is still a cottage at heart and in its furnishings. On the first floor, in addition to the two master bedrooms (each with its own bathroom), there's a ''Ship's Cabin'' with two bunks that has sparked the imagination of young sailors for many generations. Off the Ship's Cabin is a protected deck that is perfect for getting a tan even on windy days.
A plush lawn separates the MainHouse from the waters of Pleasant Bay with steps leading down to the water. The large garden has plenty of quiet places for reading, relaxing and/or snoozing in the shade or in the sun. Entertain outside at the tall table overlooking the Bay and under the covered patio. Swim or fish from the dock or the nearby beach. Arrangements for a boat mooring are possible. Off-street parking for 2 cars.
Amenities include a new, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, 3 cable TVs, Internet, a gas BBQ grill, and a fabulous outdoor shower. Dock and driveway are shared with the Boathouse directly to the North.
Sailing School is 300 feet away at Pleasant Bay Community Boating.
