About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Haupt

Hi, I’m Suzie Haupt. I have dreamt of living in a log cabin since 1956 when my family vacationed in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. Then, in 1959 when we rented our cabin on Lake Wallenpaupack, my new dream became to live in a log cabin on a lake!
Why they chose this property
I moved to the coast of North Carolina in 1991 and found that I very much missed the mountains and fresh water swimming. Thus began my search for the perfect lake to retire to. In 2005 I discovered Mirror Lake and fell in love with it. The exquisite views and mild water temperatures from May through October offer me more pleasure than I ever dreamed of.
Until I am able to retire and move permanently into “WHATAVIEW” I’d like to share my dream with you. You won’t be disappointed! Please call if you have any questions.

What makes this property unique
This part of western North Carolina is simply pristine; it is so beautiful that just sitting on the deck watching the changing light on the lake and the clouds seems in itself a past-time.
The majesty of the mountains and waterfalls in the area around Lake Lure are so picturesque that they appear to be torn from the pages of National Geographic.
From shopping and fine dining to golf and fishing, there is something for everyone here... oh, except for folks who like traffic noise, we don't have any of that.
