MOUNTAIN VIEWS ~ LAKE ACCESS ~ FIREPLACE ~ WIRELESS INTERNET ~ KING BED
Honey Bee Hill is the perfect log cabin for a peaceful family retreat in the mountains. Sit by the outdoor gas-log fireplace and enjoy the serene lake view on the beautifully furnished wrap-around porch. Or, take the kayaks (included) out on the lake for a calming day on the private community’s 12-acre lake. End the day grilling out on the top-of-the-line CharBroil grill and watch the sky’s colors change as the sun dips over the horizon.
This two-and-a-half-story cozy log cabin boasts three bedrooms and three full baths to accommodate six adults. On the main level, you’ll find the dining room with a beautiful wood table that seats six, the living room with an electric leather recliner and sofa, a stonework gas-log fireplace, the kitchen with everything you’ll need, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a full bathroom with a tub for the kiddos.
From the living room, take the stairs to the upper level, where the loft serves as an elegant workspace with some of the best large loft windows we have seen. The loft is perfect for getting some work done while another reads a book or catches a nap in the oversized chair. The master bedroom with a king-sized bed and its full bathroom is located just at the top of the stairs.
In the lower level, you'll find the home’s second living room, a television, an extensive book collection for your reading pleasure, and ample room for the kids. Also downstairs is the third bedroom with another queen bed and a full bathroom. The laundry facilities are also located on this level. Through the two sliding glass doors is a spacious patio, a bench swing, and a much sought-after, but rarely found, level and grassy area perfect for mingling, cartwheels, or yard games. Feel free to bring your own game of corn hole or bocce.
Honey Bee Hill is a beautiful log home located in a private, quiet community just east of Lake Lure. It is easily accessible and only 9.5 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, 11.5 miles to Chimney Rock State Park, and 18.2 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC), home of the 2018 World Equestrian Games (WEG). A little less than an hour’s drive to Asheville’s downtown, where art, music, and some of the U.S.'s best craft breweries await!

The place was great! Super close walk so we could kayak. We have family in the area and this was a great place to stay. The internet wasn't great maybe for gaming or working but perfect for anything else. We also had great cell service at cabin I was very worried because it wasn't great other spots in lake lure.
Honey Bee Hill is a beautiful home! Perched above a community pond with a great view. The home was comfortable for our family of 5. The kitchen had all the wares we needed on our visit. The property management company was very communicative with details of the surrounding area and check-in was a breeze. We will definitely look to return for a longer visit in the future.
Had a good time in the Lake Lure area. House was as described and in a very quite and peaceful setting. The only thing that we felt needed an upgrade was the master mattress. My wife and I are small and of average weight but sank in the mattress. Seems like it’s time for a new one.
We enjoyed our stay. Really great experience. The cabin was really great and loved the lay-out. The only complaint we had was the TV setup. The main TV in the living room should have had the satellite hooked to it. Otherwise everything was Great!
We had a great experience. Only complaint we had was the wifi being spotty so TV/phones barely worked. We had to call the property management company to come out twice during our stay to fix. Also the bedroom on the top floor needs replacement sheets; the ones on the bed had spots so I removed them. Didn’t look like they weren’t washed or anything; just looked like stains that just won’t come out. Other than that, we had a great trip & would definitely stay again.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. The view of the lake was lovely in the afternoon and morning while sitting on the deck. The rooms are nice sized. The upstairs was hot so keeping the fans going helps a lot. We had issues with the climate control, as it would continually go back to a colder temp than we liked, so we were adjusting that more than we wanted. The water smells of sulfur so make sure to bring your own water for drinking. We experienced fruit flies through out the trip - I think by the end of the week we had either killed them all off or they died a natural death! The trash from the previous visitor wasn't picked up from the trash cans outside before we arrived, so an animal got into it that night and the following day I had to clean up the mess. But the managerial team was quick to come out and pick up after I contacted them.
Overall it was a lovely vacation location. Nice area to walk, though we didn't kayak as we had hoped to, we still enjoyed the peace of the lake. Ingles is approximately 4 miles from the house, and there are plenty of things to occupy your time in Lake Lure and the surrounding area should you want that. We would come back and stay again.
We’ve stayed here several times. We love the neighborhood and the location is perfect for checking out the surrounding areas. House is clean and well stocked.
This home was better than expected! It was tucked away with an amazing view from the 3rd floor and porch. The floor was so clean that we wore white socks that never showed any dirt residue. As many other reviewers stated, the WIFI is spotty so don’t expect to spend much time on your devices. We would suggest a DVD of Dirty Dancing just to pay homage to the movie being filmed there. We’ll be back for sure!
We loved it here so much! The views from the living room and the loft and porch were breathtaking! It helped us achieve the much needed relaxation we were looking for. The neighborhood was quiet and had a nice relaxing pond you could see from the cabin. You could also walk down to the pond and hang. Absolutely beautiful.
Property was nice and clean. Use of kayaks on private lake was nice, fun and relaxing. Many good hikes within a reasonable drive. Good food and shopping close by.
My husband and I and our 3 children have under 10 vacationed here for a week. The cabin is clean and very cozy. I loved the fact that there was a toddler bed for our 4 year old. The deck is amazing. Plenty of outdoor seating with a gas fireplace out there. It was quiet and we watched and listened to the wildlife. On the last night the AC stopped working. We called Carolina Properties and they sent over the repair guys immediately and it was fixed. Very nice and easy to work with. Don’t hesitate to call them. Everyone had enough towels, beds were comfortable. All your necessities for the kitchen are there. We really had a nice time. Thanks for everything.
This property was exactly as we saw in the pictures. We are a family of four, two adults and two teenagers. We took the bedroom on top floor (master) VERY comfortable bed, with its own bathroom. Only downside is shower is smaller than the other bedrooms, still good, but smaller. My son took the bedroom off the kitchen, the bathroom is outside the door the bedroom was comfortable but more adapted to children, (still a queen size bed though!). The bottom floor has the only TV in the house (this was a plus for us!) which is in the little living room outside the bedroom. The bedroom has a bathroom (wonderful large shower), more like a suite setup. The kitchen was well stocked with every pot or pan we needed and we cooked many meals there and we used the grill. Of course, the porch with seating for many was where we spent most of our time, from there you can see the bunnies playing in the lawn in the early morning, or hear the frogs at night while you watch a fire or play cards. We did use the kayaks on the lake, to walk them down with the buggy is a chore, so we just slipped them in our car and drove down the hill (not far but steep for us). There is a gazebo down by the water and a dock , so while two kayaked, there is plenty of seating to play a game or eat. All in all this was a wonderful place to wind down. Now, if you are looking for a tv in every room and internet that is fast as light, this is not for you, but if you are looking to unwind, take nature in, and still be able to check your phone for messages, and listen to wifi music...well BOOK!! You won't regret it!!!
