About this property
Historic family getaway mins from downtown
Spread out in a 1925 home in Birmingham`s Crestwood neighborhood, set up for groups of six across three bedrooms. Out back you get a fully fenced yard with a firepit, cornhole, and room for kids and dogs to run. Inside, cook in the full kitchen, stream on the living room TV, and work from anywhere on 396 Mbps WiFi. Free driveway parking, an in unit washer and dryer, and a front porch built for morning coffee round it out. Downtown sits ten minutes away. Dogs welcome.
The space
Settle into a 1925 Crestwood home with original hardwood floors, double pane windows, and 1,360 square feet of room for your whole group. The living room anchors the house with plush couches and a 55 inch TV, plus a dining table set for board game nights. Sign in to your own streaming accounts on the TVs.
The kitchen is built for real cooking, with granite counters, a full size refrigerator, a stainless oven and stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a full set of cookware, dishes, and a stand mixer. You can feed the whole group here without improvising.
Three bedrooms sleep up to six across five beds. The primary holds a king bed, the second a queen, and the third two twin XL beds, so a family or a small group fits comfortably. Every bedroom has its own 50 inch TV and a ceiling fan. One full bathroom serves the home, with a deep soaking tub, a granite vanity, and extra towels and toilet paper stocked.
Out back, a fully fenced yard gives you a firepit, outdoor seating, and cornhole, with space for kids and dogs to roam. The front porch is set for coffee at sunrise.
What you get:
- Three bedrooms, five beds, sleeps six - King, queen, and two twin XL beds, a TV in every bedroom - Full kitchen with granite counters and dishwasher - Fully fenced backyard with firepit and cornhole - 396 Mbps WiFi for remote work - In unit washer and dryer - Central air conditioning and heating - Free driveway parking - Dog friendly, two dogs welcome with a pet fee - Self check in
Guest access
You have the entire house and the fully fenced backyard to yourself for your stay, all three bedrooms, the kitchen, living room, bathroom, front porch, and yard included. The only space that stays locked is the exterior storage shed. Free parking is on the pebble driveway, a designated spot just for you. You have self check in, and your full arrival instructions are sent before your stay. There are no shared spaces and no other guests on the property.
The neighborhood
Crestwood is a residential Birmingham neighborhood east of downtown, walkable in spots and a short drive from the action. Crestwood Park is about three minutes by car or a fifteen minute walk, with a swimming pool, pickleball, and tennis courts. Downtown Birmingham sits ten minutes away. The dining nearby spans the map, with SluttyVegan, Trattoria Zaza for Italian, Taziki`s for Mediterranean, Rojo and El Barrio for Mexican, The Rougaroux for Cajun, and Rock N Roll Sushi all within about ten minutes. Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport is only five minutes out, one of the shortest airport runs you will find.
Getting around
A car is the easiest way to get around Crestwood, and free driveway parking means you always have a place to land. Most trips downtown or to nearby dining run about ten minutes, and Crestwood Park is roughly three minutes by car. Rideshare through Uber and Lyft is widely available across Birmingham. Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport is just five minutes away, which keeps arrivals and departures simple.
Other things to note
A few details to set expectations before you book. This is a 1925 home, so you may notice the character of an older property, including some natural settling and sounds. One full bathroom serves all six guests, which is worth planning around. There are exterior security cameras on the property for safety, and there are no interior cameras. A train runs nearby twice daily from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon, typically mid afternoon and late evening, so light sleepers should know. The home sits in a residential neighborhood, so please respect the neighbors and quiet hours from 9 PM to 8 AM. Two dogs are welcome with a pet fee. This is a non smoking property, and parties or events are not allowed. Maximum occupancy is six guests.

Great stay and accommodation for our golf trip. Clean and great communication. The only surprise was the train coming through after midnight. The horn was a bit startling but other than that it was excellent
I can’t say enough about this property!!! It was more than I expected and I needed an amazing place to stay while mourning. The neighborhood was quiet and the people were friendly.

The house was cute with original hardwood flooring and corner cabinet and fureplace. ouse was cute with a lot of original
The pictures do not do this house justice!!! It's beautiful and peaceful. Great communication with Ryan. We had the best time and was able to relax once we were done site seeing. Thank you so much!!!
Host unavailable on phone. Lawn a knee high weed patch. Not one single cup of coffee available. Coffee creamer spoiled. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. Rear patio a mess.
Hi, this was a nice place with a nice host but there were a few issues I had with it: One, it was full of perfumes, so if someone is sensitive to smells/synthetic fragrances it should be noted. The second is the windows don't open, so if someone needs fresh air coming in, take note. There is a great working ac/heat unit. The last thing is that it is right off a train track, so, the train woke us up at 3am..so if you're a light sleeper, take note...besides for that, the host was wonderful, it was a beautiful home, it had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the fence yard and friendly neighbors.

Hi Chaya, Thank you for your detailed feedback and kind words about your stay. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the home, the fenced yard, and the friendly neighbors.
I appreciate you pointing out the issues with the perfumes and the windows. I'll make sure to mention the use of synthetic fragrances in the listing for future guests who may be sensitive. I’ll also look into options for better ventilation.
Regarding the train noise, I apologize for the disturbance. I’ll make sure to include this information in the listing for light sleepers.
Thank you again for your constructive feedback and for staying with us.
Best regards, Ryan
The communication was excellent. Ryan was quick to respond to my questions which is always appreciated. The house is just lovely and very cozy. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We only stayed Saturday night so the train wasn’t an issue, but the track runs within feet of the house. The furniture is comfy. I do have some suggestions. The listing says it accommodates 7 but the supplies were a little short for that amount of people. We couldn’t find any sheets or blankets for the couch. I would recommend a couple of extra blankets because the king bed only had a very thin bedspread. There were only 6 coffee pods with flavored coffee for the keurig so we had to make a Starbucks run. We were warily watching the partial roll of toilet paper as we were getting low with no other rolls in sight. Overall, we were very pleased with the house and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on a weekend! Thank you for a pleasant stay!
