We had a wonderful time at the coastal cottage! The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It is in a perfect location to walk to old town, the parks and the ocean. We also loved all of the cute coastal decorations! The host was great as well, she was very responsive and generous letting us check in early. We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed the great location in town to walk around historic downtiwn, enjoying shops, restaurants and the shoreline.
The house was great - everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the barbecue and back patio.
Wanted to go to Salem for the first time and we are so glad we did. Even more so, glad we stayed at Marblehead, in this house. The area is beautiful and full of history. Great shops too. We all want to come back again! Thank you!!
We booked this cute house as spillover for Thanksgiving, and it was the perfect in-town spot for people to stay and be easy distance from our festivities. The house was spotless and comfortable, and the host allowed early check in which was helpful in getting everyone settled. Would 100% book again, thank you!
We loved the home and the area. The host provided everything that we needed to make our trip enjoyable. The extra touches makes the house feel like a home.
Thank you!

Thank you for the kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Come back and visit!
Everything about our stay was terrific. Colleen & her husband (owners) gave us all the information we needed & the fisherman’s cottage was well equipped. They provided a hair dryer & even had coffee pods for their Keurig! Loved the fact that the 2 staircases provided access to the 2 upstairs bedrooms so you didn’t have to walk through one to get to the other.Having wine in the lovely garden was a plus & you truly can walk to the shops & restaurants in a few minutes. We were 4 sorority sisters who graduated from the University of Dayton 56 years ago & we’re still having adventures & this was a great one. Thank you!
Wonderful cute little cottage, right in the heart of Marblehead MA, which is also a cute beach town (first time staying in MA) would love to see this town in the Summer! We rented the house 10 mins away from Salem, which was the main reason for this trip. As a family of 4, it was extremely convenient to rent a house instead of staying in a hotel room right in the heart of Salem. The house itself was great! Great decor, very clean and it felt cozy. Colleen was very accommodating and attentive. We arrived an hour early and we were allowed for an earlier check in, which was a huge plus! It was also easy to get in touch with her if we needed to.We have 2 kids, so they enjoyed the basement with all the toys! and they enjoyed sharing a bedroom. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon!
Is it possible to give 10 stars? What an amazing home in the most ideal location! It was absolutely perfect. A group of us booked this home for our girls' trip to Salem, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The house was clean, gorgeous, and within walking distance to shops, restaurants & bars, offering water views, and had everything we could have needed for the long weekend. It was also a quick Uber ride to Salem - so convenient. In addition, the host was WONDERFUL! She was helpful, informative, communicative, kind, and helped us navigate a few things (& funny moments!) around town. She was GREAT! Between the house, location, the charming town, and our new best friend Colleen, we are already planning another trip to visit Marblehead in this house! I'm not sure we could stay anywhere but here now!
This house and city (Marblehead) were absolutely amazing. We stayed here after visiting Boston for a week to be a little closer to the city of Salem, as we wanted to experience Salem during October (Halloween). I wish we would have planned another day just to spend here at this house. Everything was perfect. From the bedrooms to the outside garden it exceeded our expectations. There is no need to look for any other house if you want to experience Marblehead and surrounding areas. We will make a trip back in a few years and I hope the home is still available, because we would most definitely stay here again and again.
Just wrapped up a fabulous girls’ weekend in Marblehead at the quaint Coastal Cottage. From the initial contact with the owner we knew that this would be a terrific property for the 3 of us looking to catch up for a quick weekend. The owners are incredibly responsive, offer great suggestions where needed, and have created a charming yet updated environment in a perfectly located area that is walkable to everything! While we spent a lot of time in the house due to less than favorable weather, the town has much to offer. Some of our favorites: Shubies Market, Fresca wood fired pizza for a night in, and Mookies at Mugford is a quick walk and a must every morning for delicious coffee, pastries, etc. Highly Recommend this property!
