This property was exactly as listed and offered beautiful views. The hot tub was great and all amenities worked as expected. The host was very friendly and 100% responsive. The dirt road leading to the home is a little tight around one of the turns for the truck I was driving but overall no problems accessing the home and it made it feel even more secluded and perfect for a romantic getaway! Would definitely recommend.

During booking, property seemed secluded & quiet near the mountains, appeared updated, with a hot tub (#1 must have on our list). Within 30 mins of arriving, we were notified that the hot tub was broken, but would be fixed the next day. Without request, the host offered compensation for the issue. Still waiting to receive. Upon arrival, someone else was staying in the cabin. These guests rented the much smaller cabin down the hill. But both cabins had the same access code. When their code worked to enter, they didn't think they were at the wrong cabin. They were settled in, having used the kitchen, shower, & bed. We waited an hour for them to move and get the host to change the lock code. Next day, a lawn guy showed up to mow around cabin. Noisy & annoying adding to the frustration. No one showed up to fix the hot tub and still no reimbursement. Day 3, the hot tub still broken & host was not communicating. In an effort to end our trip on a positive note, we decided to leave & find another place to stay for our last night. We notified the host of our intentions & requested they process the compensation as promised & refund us for the last night. Priced too high for condition. The property was dirty; furniture tattered & bedding not fresh. It has been 2 weeks since our stay & we still have not received refund. I don’t feel confident that the host will do the right thing & follow through on their word because they are ignoring our communication. First bad experience with VRBO!

Owner made all the difference

Initially, the property did not have clean bedsheets in the master bedroom, and there was some other cleaning issues. It turns out there was a communication issue w the cleaner but the home owner came to replace the sheets and make the bed. He cleaned up the other little things and returned our cleaning fee. Besides this, the actual property is very neat, cozy and in a nice area. The road up to the property is dirt, so a suv with all wheel drive and some ground clearance might be best. The hot tub, grill and outdoor fireplace are a really nice touch to the scenic mountains in the distance. Overall, my family enjoyed their stay and I think this rental is deserving of 5 stars, because of the owner despite initial impressions.
