Great Island! 4 BR/2BA, central air, walk to BI ferry/beach

Spend some time on Great Island, near the fishing port of Galilee! All linens plus chairs, toys and towels for the beach are provided. Central air conditioning throughout the home will keep you cool and comfortable. All bedrooms and the living room have flat panel televisions with cable. There is new flooring throughout the living areas. The large backyard, great for lawn games, has patio furniture and a picnic table. There is a wonderful over-sized outdoor shower- a great way to start or end your day. There is plenty of off-street parking.

Any time is the perfect time to visit! Memorial Day Weekend is available - please send a note to inquire about pricing! June is a great time to visit - summer is just beginning and the rates are low. There is plenty to do - spend time at the beach, explore Block Island and try some of the restaurants around town, many with al fresco dining. There are ballroom dance lessons every Wednesday night year round at the Towers in the Pier as well as live theater all summer at nearby Theater by the Sea. Early July is also a great time to be in Narragansett. Celebrate the 4th of July! Fireworks are held at several nearby locations. Take in the RI Philharmonic Orchestra's concert on the beach held the week after the 4th - an awesome gathering of groups of friends and families picnicking on Narragansett Beach listening to the sounds of the orchestra while the sun sets. Don't forget to pack the wine!

Enjoy the Southern Tip of Rhode Island on Great Island in scenic Narragansett. Walk to village of Galilee, where you can catch the Block Island ferry or purchase lobsters from the lobster boats on the nearby docks, go to the beach and visit shops, restaurants, ice cream shops and fish markets.

This spacious, smoke-free home is clean, recently painted and comfortable with all amenities (all linens are provided) and a huge yard (double lot) with large, furnished patio - great for BBQ's and lawn games. There is a large outdoor shower. There is off-street parking for eight cars. There are two spacious bedrooms and a full bath (tub) on the first floor and two spacious bedrooms and a full bath (large shower) on the second floor. Home has a new gas grill, new air conditioners and new microwave. There are televisions with cable in all bedrooms and in the living area, wifi access throughout and relatively new washer/dryer. Kitchen is fully equipped with updated stainless steel appliances and stocked with basic pantry items.

Enjoy evenings on the patio cooking on the stainless steel grill, sipping wine and relaxing. Water access to Salt Pond is available within walking distance - bring your raft or kayak. Salt Pond is also great for clamming - dig for your dinner!

The home is located on a quiet road, convenient to Roger Wheeler Beach/Sand Hill Cove (1 mile), Salty Brine Beach (walk), Scarborough Beach (2 miles) and the Block Island Ferry (walk). Visit the wonderful restaurants, do some shopping and walk the sea wall. Attend events that happen in the town all summer long. Visit the lighthouse at Point Judith and walk onto the jetty to see the sun set over the water. Golf and tennis are nearby. World famous Newport, RI, the sailing capital of the world, is just 25 minutes away- visit the Gilded Mansions and the Tennis Hall of Fame.
