About this property

Ski Camelback! Pocono Lakefront, dock, hot tub, private pool and tennis court

Beautiful lakefront property in the heart of the Pocono Mountains! We are aprox 15 minutes from Camelback Ski Mountain and about 30 minutes to most of the other mountains. Sleeps 8 people max with three first floor bedrooms plus a second floor sleeping loft.

Enjoy soaring views of the lake year round. House features a private tennis court, 6 person hot tub, private pool (summer only), pool table, baby grand piano and a large outdoor deck with a Webber grill. Holiday House is in a great location to enjoy the Poconos and all the seasonal activities the area has to offer; Skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ATV, ice skating, boating, fishing, swimming, golf, outlet shopping, horse back riding and much more.

For 2026, the pool will be open May 23 to September 12

* Parties comprised of adults must be 26 or older; STRICTLY ENFORCED.
* Families welcome. children over 2 count towards occupancy as per our rental permit with our township. If more than 2 infants under two are present, additional will count towards max occupancy.

*This is a non smoking home. No smoking inside or on any of the deck areas or pool.

Please note that our house is on the mountain summit and has a very rustic vibe in a natural setting where wildlife, bugs and geese are all part of the life. The house has been updated in numerous ways through the years but we do keep part of its originality preserved as it emulates a classic Pocono style lakefront home.

Very relaxing getaway for our family

Everyone really enjoyed the stay, especially the outdoor amenities - from the lake/boats to the pool (though the weather didn't cooperate much for swimming) and hot tub.

Pocono Family trip 2024

It was a relaxing trip with lots to do without leaving the property. We took the entire family and there was plenty to do for everybody. We enjoyed it so much we hope to go back again next year.

Vacation 2025

The house was nice but need updated pictures. The pool rules state No food or beverages in the pool area which seamed odd. The cleaning service had not done any dusting since the last guest were there 2 weeks prior. We have stayed a lot of VRBO home and this was a disappointment.

Loved our stay

We had a great time staying here, the house was awesome, beautiful fall views from most of the home. Easy to get to and easy to get everywhere, we did a few vineyard tours and went to the casino at night. Perfect location! Would definitely book again!

Amazing!

Very comfortable vacation experience. Setting was perfect for viewing nature……a variety of birds, dear turtles. Freight train quietly passed by on some days, which was a real treat. Pool and hot tub were a real positive. House was neat and clean. And, while in some ways rustic, it was perfect for us!

Christmas Vacation

We like to stay in a cabin while checking out the indoor water parks with our toddlers. The location of this place could not have been better with close access to Kalahari and so many stores and food options. The kids items in the home made the trip that much more convenient. We really enjoyed the lake front room for night time reading and morning coffee. Would highly recommend!

Family Friendly Fun

My family really enjoyed our stay at the lakefront house! Everything was exactly as pictured in the listing. We had lots of fun swimming in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and boating on the lake. We were a group of seven and had plenty of space to hang out inside the house and outside on the deck. We had one toddler with us and really appreciated the kid amenities: travel crib, plastic plates, toys, and books.

Holiday House

We really enjoyed our stay at the holiday house. Our family of 8 had a very relaxing and enjoyable trip. We utilized every amenity the holiday house offered to its guest. We all thought the beds were uncomfortable and wished it would have had air conditioning but this didn’t ruin our trip. We would definitely come back possibly try a different month or season.

Beautiful Location

We went with our family to get away in the mountains. The house was beautiful with huge picture windows overlooking the lake and the train tracks. Our son loves trains and thankfully we got to see one roll by. The pool table and games made for an exceptionally relaxing visit. There is a hot tub on the deck and there was nothing like sitting in with the jets on relaxing even in the snow and cold. Probably our favorite part of the trip.

Cozy and Welcoming

Our stay was over the Christmas Holiday. In the midst of a winter storm, the house was very cozy and welcoming! The view of the sunrise over the lake through the big windows was beautiful. There were amenities that we didn't get to enjoy because we were there during the winter. We did enjoy the hot tub and the pool table and the gas fireplace! We would love to come back to be able to use the pool, the dock, the tennis court, the boat and kayaks the outdoor grille, the deck, etc Thank you for making our Christmas Holiday an adventure to remember!

Perfect!!!

Stayed a week with family, kids ages from 7mo. to 4. The property was perfect for us. Lots of activities kept everyone happy. Pool was a definite plus as the beach wasn't great (geese were enjoying it). The available kayaks and paddle boats were used daily. (didn't use the row boat) We did lots of fishing (catch and release). The great room gave a beautiful view of the small lake. The tennis courts gave us a place to play different games and a safe place for the kids to ride their scooters. The hot tub was a great ending to the day for the adults after the kids were asleep. The house is well-worn but worked perfectly for us. The owner was easy to reach and very responsive and prompt.We had a wonderful time!

Great relaxing resort type feel

Property is mostly as advertised. Beautiful setting with lake ,hot tub and pool which was immaculately kept. Lake was beautiful- don't bother with row boat. Mostly impossible to row through lake with the high grass but the kayaking was awesome and we were able to catch and release some fish! There is a freight train that goes through the lake which was pretty cool to see. The house was well kept and plenty of room for 2 families of 4. We stayed in the middle of August and had no issue with heat even with the absence of AC. It got into the low 60's at night and sleeping was very comfortable. The tennis court was so much fun. None of us play tennis but we used it every day and had a blast. We went on a few great hiking trails nearby and had a great time. The one downfall is the picture of the beach. The pictures make it seem like it is on property but you need to drive to another party of the community if you want to use it. We didn't bother as it was a bit seedy looking and honestly didn't miss it at all. Overall a great place and we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday House however we were very disappointed in the appearance of the home and how dirty some things were. I had to clean crumbs off of the furniture and wipe down countertops. The windows were pretty dirty which took away from the view. The outside pavillion area was very dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned for some time. We wanted to use it so I hosed it down and cleaned it up. The worst part was when we walked down to the dock to find that we had to be very careful as there was so much swan poop. Again, I think this had been left go for a long time. We spend about 30 minutes cleaning in up so that we could enjoy the dock and lake while we were there. The house does have many nice things to offer and the pool and the hot tub were wonderful. It was a very quiet area and the lake was pretty. There was a pedal boat available and that was fun.

weekend away

Overall, the House was very nice. The great room was awesome. The kids loved having the pool table and Camelback was only 18 minutes away. Beautiful views behind the house and enjoyed a morning coffee looking out the windows. This house is pro0ably awesome in the summer! Also Megan did respond with our questions quickly. There a few reasons why I only rated the house 3 stars: 1. The gas fireplace did not work and we were not informed of this. We tried to get it lit a few times and gave up. When I asked Megan she informed me it didn't work, she wasn't ab le to get it fixed yet. She did send us the instructions to relate the pilot light, but we decided to not chance it. 2. We arrived at 9:30 at night and found the front walk and steps a sheet of ice. There was no salt that we could put done for the rest of our stay. 3. We woke Saturday morning to the oven not working. Apparently it unplugs easily. We had to shimmy the oven out and climb behind to replug. 4. There needs to be more instructions on how to use the hot tub. We were not aware that it takes over an hour for it to come up to temperature. It would have been helpful to have that info. 5. Lastly, the furniture is not very comfortable. The couch and chaise are very soft and you sink right into them. This may be comfortable for some, but we found it difficult to get up out of.

We had such an awesome time during our stay on this property. The owners left a very helpful guide for things to do locally. Owners are also quick with communication and instructions for checking in and out. We had a blast and plan on going back!

Perfect summer getaway

Property is amazing. Great indoor/outdoor sound system, clean pool that sees plenty of sun, and the tennis court provides just what you need to be active. Very large deck that has plenty of shade along with the sun it gets. Plan to spend most of your time outside, but the pool table inside is great if needed. Definitely staying again

We had a wonderful time! The setting is very serene and peaceful along the shores of the lake surrounded by the greenery of the Poconos! The house was big enough to allow us to be together or to have our quiet space. We would return to Holiday House!

Loved it

We rented this house for 3 nights for a quick spring break get-away with our 4 teens/almost teens. We didn't need to leave the property once, except for a very quick grocery shopping trip and some walks around the neighborhood. Between the tennis court, hot tub, pool table and lake, we were well occupied. The fishing was great - my kids caught fish every third time they cast their rods. We loved using the kayaks and row boat. We saw lots of turtles, osprey, swans, a beaver.... It's not very quiet outside. There's an airport nearby - we only saw small planes, no big jets - and a train that runs on the other side of the lake a couple of times per day, which we thought was cool. The main room was very warm with the sun coming in, we didn't really need the fireplaces. The kitchen is well stocked, but if you want good knives or a working can opener - bring your own. We had some issues with the grill. The owner responded to my text right away and helped us troubleshoot. We got it working well enough, but it wasn't easy. The outside of the property seems a little tired. Chipped paint on the deck, mildew on the awning, corner of the dock seems to be rotting - that kind of thing. None of that bothered us at all. It could be that we're just coming out of winter and things haven't gotten spruced up yet. Overall, we loved the place. We would come back again in a heartbeat.

The location is perfect. 1.5- 2 hours from both Philadelphia and New York. Central to all things Poconos- Kalahari is 5 min, Camelback 15 min and a mix of different food options in all directions. Hiking is everywhere! We can assure you will feel away from it all!
