2 bed 2.5 Bath beautiful villa and semi-detached owner unit with partial ocean view and a one-minute walk to Saunders Beach. Both are en suite bedrooms with a king bed and a queen bed, cathedral ceilings, rafters, balconies and patios. Fully and tastefully furnished with Bahamian accent pieces. Open floor plans, galley kitchen and flat screen TV's in bedrooms and living room. Lush landscaping. Centrally located on the Island and within 15 minutes to Atlantis, BahaMar Hotels, downtown. Also fast food and restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful garden with lots of plants and fruit trees.

The owners were very accomadating. When something wasn,t 100% we simply called them and they took care of it right away. Beautiful island, great place. Good size. Well decorated.

Despite the listing saying there was a pool and including a photo of it, we discovered when we arrived that there was no pool - unless the unit was booked with the larger house adjacent to the property. The same with the grill. The owners did some nice things for us during our stay, but we did not have the vacation we had envisioned for my daughter’s birthday trip because we didn’t have a pool to sit by and relax. The property is beautiful and the home tastefully decorated. You can see just a slice of the beach from the villa. They had bottled water in large jugs, and a stocked spice cupboard. There’s a security system on the property. There weren’t lounger chairs for most of our trip and the washing machine was broken. Pick from a coffee maker or a French press for your morning cup of joe. Ask about enjoying the coconuts off the property’s trees. No taxi driver could ever find the property, but we learned to walk up to the main road to catch a bus No 10 or a taxi there. It was a 20 minute walk to Arawak Cay/Fish Fry and there weren’t always sidewalks. There aren’t grocery/liquor stores nearby. There are towels but no beach toys or a beach wagon. Sanders Beach is just two blocks away and is a lovely beach. Gorgeous turquoise water. It’s a little noisy due to being along the road unless the wind and waves block the sound. We loved the sunsets.

Total deceit! Beware!

Don’t do it!!! This property states that is is a 2/2.5 but what it doesn’t say is that there is an efficiency apartment that the mother lives in full time (or does she?). Totally deceitful to not declare that from the beginning! In the master is a home office with a computer that must be for personal use. Strange, right?!? The second bedroom is right off of the stairs and there is no railing so if you have kids, be careful! The possibility of a fall is eminent. The blinds are broken, the air conditioners are loud and struggling to keep up, the tvs/remote controls don’t work! We didn’t even stay ONE night because we were so uncomfortable with the fact that there was a stranger who was going to be staying the night in the efficiency. Not a good experience in a foreign country. We contacted VRBO customer support right away and were told that the host was willing to refund but we have yet to see that. Worst experience of our lives!!

I was surprise to see so many negative comments and as these things do not happen in a vacuum, I’am left to wonder what the motive was since all prior reviews have been 5 star and with that being said I will address issues Admit to missing strip which repairman has to order and get from USA but did not stop blind from opening manually. 2 the tv sets are new and in full working order only needed to hit input button and switch to Cable 3 computer and printer left in the event in guest need such items, as sometimes guest want to print something 4 Bahamian building codes are strict why would an interior bedroom door that open on a landing need a rail? 5 The two split systems in bedrooms are less than a year old 6 My mother who check in is the resident manager with extensive tourism background for both properties and there is a 200mph hurricane proof door and a laundry room to separate efficiency from main house 7 guest requested a grill which was purchased to accommodate them On day in question guest were checked in and they had no questions or concerns. A few minutes later a call was received from VRBO advising that guest complained that they did not feel safe because the resident manager lived in efficiency and the tv was not working. I advised VRBO Rep that if they wished to leave no issue and they can refund them. I later went to property and found gate and door unlocked and guest gone….nothing never said or sent to me until this review came out…..
