If you want to get away from the world for some peace and quiet, Big Bear Mountain View Cabin is the place for you. Spacious and comfortable for couples, group of friends and families to rest and relax after a fun filled day of hiking, biking, fishing, and boating at the lake.

Modern classic Gambrel style cabin located at north shore edge of Big Bear Lake, nestled in a desirable Whispering Forest community, surrounded by the Antelope Valley with beautiful slope views waiting for you to enjoy.

Your base camp to relax & recharge; a true home away from home. Breathe in the mountain air or cozy up inside with a nice wood-burning stove. The property has everything that your family needs for a comfortable extended stay.

You will have full access and share it with no one else (please do not sublet). It will be cleaned professionally before your arrival & after you leave. The kitchen is fully stocked and all essentials are provided see details below. We have EV charger 30amps and Tesla adapter works great with maximum charged over night. Spectrum mesh WiFi, work station with motorized adjustable desk for remote work, and TV with Netflix Hulu Disney Apple access and board games for entertainment.

Things To Note and Frequent Asked Questions:

• Parking is in the front driveway and under carport which has room for 2 vehicles. Warning that the driveway is steep and we are not responsible if your car gets damaged.

• There is no parking on the street. It is against city ordinance, and you may be towed. AWD & 4x4 is recommended during winter months due to the steep driveway and road conditions. We are not responsible if you are not able to get up the mountain or the driveway.

• Bedroom: linens, blankets and duvets are brand new luxury quality. They are professionally laundered, and beds are made up for you when you arrive. Any soiled linens please leave in the closet laundry basket or leave on the bed or you can wash and dry if you choose. Any damaged linens blankets pls notify host, and take a photo. The master bedroom includes a pack and play in the closet.

• In unit laundry stacker with detergent included for your convenient (unlike other rentals you have to buy your own).

• EV charging 30amps and Tesla adapter are available located inside the shoe bench. Must return to the same place, if damaged subject to charge.

• Bathroom: flooring updated to durable, luxury vinyl plank with low maintenance. Heated bidet toilets to keep your bum warm and clean. Kirkland shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, hair dryer are included for your convenient. Two sets of bath towels and face towel for each guest so you don’t have to bring your own. Please leave any soiled towels hanging in the bathroom or in the laundry basket or wash and dry if you choose. Any damaged towels pls notify host and take photo.

• Kitchen: fully stocked and is equipped with new: pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, flatware, and glasses! Open concept with new appliances, plenty of cabinetry for storage, updated countertops and deep granite sink including: a range & oven, microwave, and refrigerator, kitchen accessories and towels. Electrical kettle, espresso machine, coffee grinder, filter & pour over bloom is available for your morning routine: bring your own beans & cream, we have sugar. The kitchen does have an automatic dishwasher and dish rack on the counter, with dish soap included for your convenient. We ask that you must empty the refrigerator and throw away any perishable foods when you leave. Other essentials are included as well for your convenient such as, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, storage containers, coffee filters, hand soap liquid, kids utensils, etc. Most rentals would make you buy your own.

• The cabin has a wood-burning fireplace. Firewood is not provided you must buy your own and place the wood in the designated crate. Do not remove or clean the ashes from the fireplace, housekeeping will do that. Warning do not touch the fireplace when hot, we are not responsible for any injury, use at your own risk.

• Where should I dump my trash? Big Bear City STR ordinance states that all guest must take your trash to the City Dumpster Station located at 38550 Holcomb Valley Road after you check out. During your stay, you should take the trash to the black trash bin outside in the back of the cabin. The cleaning fees of $225 includes trash service up to 2 bags, any excessive trash bags will be charged a $25 fee per bag. If you’re staying through Monday which is the city trash pick up day, you can take out the trash bins by 6am onto the street about 3 feet from the property. Please contact host if the outside trashcan is full.

• The property has NO BBQ grill or Spa Jacuzzi at this time. Maybe in the future. Firepit and wood burning in the backyard or outside around the property is not allowed and is against the law.

• Shoes and boots should NOT be worn around the house especially on carpet areas. Any shoe prints, dirt, stains or damages are subject to charge accordingly. Also, we ask you leave any winter equipments outside or in your car to avoid damages. Much appreciated.

• Should we clean the cabin ourselves? Please leave the cabin the way you found it. Any damages pls take a photo and report to the host. Extra cleaning than the usual will be charged accordingly; such as trash, dirt, shoe prints, stains, scratched surfaces, dirty dishes and ants or roach infestation, as well as flood/water and fire damages.

• When will I get my security deposit back?
Security deposit is handled through Vrbo and is just a hold they place on the card for 48 hours after check out.

• Once you have checked in with us, you will receive a 4 digit code to access the house and WiFi info, see check in instructions. Code will be deactivated automatically after check out. Please review all arrival info.

• There are 4 cameras outside around the property. If you bring more than 6 people from your party, we will deactivate code and you will be locked out or subject to eviction from the property by the city authority. This is STR city law and we take it very seriously. Rest assured your privacy is greatly respected and valued.

• The Cabin allows 6 people max for the stay and NO PETS allowed. If you hide your pets and we find out, you will be fined $500/night. Our family have severe allergy risking medical complications and we cannot take any risks.

• Check-in is 4:00 p.m. on the first night of your rental, and check-out is 10:00 a.m. on the morning following your last night's rental. Pls ask if you need to check in earlier depending if Cabin is ready then we can accommodate. A $50/hour charge will be added to any check-outs after 11 am that are not pre-approved. It may be possible to check out at 1PM for an additional charge.

• What if I need to get hold of someone about the cabin? Message us or give us a call. We try to respond immediately to all messages.

• Snow removal for driveway + path to front door arranged for guests during Winter when snow exceeds 4 inches. We can not guarantee the arrival time of snow plow service. Snow shovel is available. Please note pathways can be icy, use caution.

• On occasion, during extreme weather, Big Bear can experience rolling power/internet outages. Rest assured, they will restore it as quickly as possible. There are candles and flash lights provided for emergency. Please notify host immediately.

• The furnace is in the living room and another upstairs hallway. There is a portable heater provided for the smallest bedroom and the other 2 bedrooms have the AC split unit with heater to keep you warm during winter months and cool during Summer months. In addition there are ceiling fans in each bedroom. Pls notify host if heater and AC stop working or have problems. We will call our handyman for help within the hour.

• Do l need snow tire chains to get to Big Bear?
During the winter months, carrying chains on you is almost always required by law. Storms may be unpredictable, and therefore it helps to have them. Additionally, during the winter months, the CHP may stop you to see if you have them and ticket you if you don't. You can check chain requirements and road conditions at Caltrans. com. 4x4 is recommended during winter months due to the steep driveway and dangerous road conditions.

• Please review and agree to all House Rules prior to booking. A signed good neighbor rental agreement and ID is required by Big Bear City STR law before we can give access to cabin and property. Absolutely NO PARTIES or EVENTS ALLOWED! We ask you to take care of our cabin like it’s your own.

•Where you'll be: The Cabin is located in a desireable Whispering Forest community surrounded by mountains and forest. To the right of the property at the end of the cup-de-sac, there is access hiking trail and beautiful views of the slopes to the left of the property.
