Communication with the host was so easy even before the trip Mandy was helpful! The cabin is peaceful and remote but still close enough to town if you need anything. Everything was clean and well cared for. Such a great stay in a beautiful cabin in a magical part of the country!

We had an excellent stay at Mandy’s cabin in L’anse! It was a beautiful location with the river running straight through the property. It was centrally located to everything that we wanted to see (roughly an hour or less). Mandy was a gracious host. She even ordered an air purifier and dropped it off on the porch because of the smoke from the Canadian wildfires. So thoughtful!! This cabin more than met our expectations and we have hopes for a return visit!

Annual waterfall tour

We have been vacationing in the U.P. for over 20 years, however this was our first vacation in the L’Anse area. The cabin was incredibly comfortable, clean, and peaceful. What a beautiful cabin and location, we loved staying there.

It was the perfect spot for our snowmobiling trip as it was just a short ride to the trails. There was a Ton of snow around the cabin and the woods all around was just Beautiful...WE LOVED it! It was Quiet, with a few animals coming to say HI by the creek that ran along the backside of the property. There was Lots of Parking outside for our truck/trailer & sleds. And Inside was lovely with the log cabin atmosphere and all the amenities we needed. Very easy check in & out processes and Mandy was VERY communicative with us! We are So happy we chose this Vrbo and look forward to coming back again! Definitely a FIVE STAR experience!
The Stream that runs thru the backside of this property..GORGEOUS!

Amazing Getaway

Property's upkeep was top notch extremely clean. The creek by the cabin was stunning and very relaxing to listen too. Sitting by the campfire was even more enjoyable from having the creek as a backdrop for the fire 🔥. Parking was easily accessible. Our host went above and beyond with sites for us to explorer. Will definitely visit again...

Property was as described. Very clean and comfortable. The cabin had plenty of towels, cooking pots & pans. The peaceful quiet and the river that runs at the back of the property made this a very relaxing stay. There is plenty to do in the area: hiking, kayaking, golf and sightseeing. Check in and check out was no problem. *** One of the top three properties I have stayed with VRBO in the last ten years***

We came up for a wedding as a group of friends, host was incredibly easy to work with and even allowed the bride & her bridesmaids to get ready at the vrbo, with the most BEAUTIFUL backdrop ever!!!! Some of us had never been to the UP and the VRBO was the perfect place to experience everything!! We left as a FAMILY and made memories for a lifetime!!!! Thank you so so sooo much for letting us use your special space!! We can’t wait to be back someday soon!

Peaceful retreat

We brought our puppy to the Keweenaw to explore the Huron Mtns, L’Anse, and many of the dirt roads and waterfalls in the area. This property is not far out of town, but far enough to feel far away. Well kept, clean, and private. In the middle of ORV country. We changed plans for our last day-and-a-half, to spend more time on the property, and just recharge our batteries. This is a special place, and we would definitely return.

Family get away

We took a quick family get away to the UP from southern WI for our daughter's bday...took the UTV, trails abound...it was a last minute trip...it did NOT disappoint!!! The sound of the river alone was worth it!!! Loved the cabin! Kids always enjoy a loft, water was nice and hot for showers and bath! Check in and out was easy :) We just keep dreaming of owning our own someday, in the meantime, thanks so much for sharing! Second time to Lake Superior now...there is so much to see in the UP! Hope to be back someday!

Clean and Cozy

Our stay was for a sxs trip. Plenty of parking for our 2 trailers and trucks, property is right on an ORV route, the trails were fantastic in this area. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Had everything that we needed (please, need a better can opener though). Host even provided coffee, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Cons: The loft bedroom isn't really private and the steps going up are quite steep. Overall I would definitely recommend this cabin and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we only have 4 of us on our next trip.

This lovely clean cabin sits on a piece of property surrounded by a river that lulls you to sleep at night if you sleep with the windows open. It was spotless and had all the amenities of home. The owner responded extremely prompt and was instrumental in suggesting nearby sights to see. To clarify the listing description, my only comments would be that it does not technically have a private second bedroom, as the loft is used as a bedroom, and the beds in the loft are full size, so if you are used to a queen or larger they may be small for two. The stairs to the loft are steep and at night you may want to leave a light on so you don't miss the bottom step. But hands down one of the nicest properties I have stayed at and loved the rural setting and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Just lovely!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful river setting, the cabin’s amenities, and that you felt right at home. We do note in the listing that the second sleeping space is an open loft with two full-size beds, but we appreciate you highlighting this so future guests know exactly what to expect. It was truly a pleasure hosting you, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime for another relaxing stay in the U.P. Safe travels until then!
