Heather and Allen have a lovely well-appointed historic colonial yet fully updated cottage! A perfect Providence getaway with furnishings exactly the way they should be just in place! This was a wonderful retreat for Brown’s family weekend in the fall. It was so great that our son even wanted to spend time with his parents!!!
I stayed here with my husband and a friend during Brown's Commencement/Reunion weekend. We absolutely loved our visit! The location was great (easy to get to from I-95 and a short walk from Brown's campus). The house itself and the front garden are beautiful, and the decor really made us feel at home — we loved all the books and art that were on display. The rooms were all comfortable, including the 2 beds, and we enjoyed lingering in the living room before heading out for our daily adventures. The check in/out instructions were clear and extremely simple. In other words, this was not the typically "sterile" vacation rental experience, but felt more like staying with a favorite cousin or the friend of a friend you've always been told you'd get along with. Yet all the familiar comforts of a VRBO were there like coffee and snacks, plentiful towels, and clean and tidy spaces with plenty of room to spread out.We would absolutely stay here again if we had the chance next time we're in Providence!
