Beautiful getaway

The cabin is very clean, newly renovated and beautifully decorated - just as described in the posting. We had a very relaxing weekend away. The location was ideal for getting to several cute towns nearby as well as many beaches along Lake Michigan. We highly recommend Heron's Nest.

This cabin has a strong odor due to sulfur water. We departed at 4:30 am due to a smoke detector repeatedly sounding from 1:00 am - 4:00 am which was previously written about in another review. The sleeping arrangements were not comfortable for a family of three. The property management needs addressed - I do not believe the cabin is being cleaned - only quick wipe downs and change of bedding. The exterior is certainly not being maintained and surrounding cabins need work as well. Parking is very limited. With a few changes, it could be a great place, but we did not get what we paid for.
