About this property

Beautiful 2 bedroom cabin with amazing lake views

Cozy cabin with amazing views of Cherokee Lake and Gilmore dock. Inside is totally renovated with granite countertops and rain fall shower, but with added charm of 1950’s refrigerator and stove . Large windows and a sliding glass door brings the lake right to you. Large covered porch is perfect for relaxing and enjoying meals outside. Cabin is 550 sq feet, so perfect for a romantic getaway, small family or small fishing trip. Parking on site for 2 cars with steps leading to the house.

We are about a 45 -60 minute drive to Pigeon Forge, however the ride is beautiful especially if you take an alternate route than Interstate 40. You can easily do the attractions but be able to return to the cabin for peace and quiet, which is hard to find among the mountains closer to PG or Gatlinburg. Many believe staying there is more convenient, but the traffic and mountain roads can make a short trip into town a long one. Bristol is 1.25 hours away and Knoxville is less than an hour.

The space
The cabin sits up on a hill with the driveway off Gilmore Road. Walkway with stones leads to the front porch. This cabin is not handicap accessible. Upon entering, the entire inside has been completely renovated. The open concept living space consists of kitchen, dining area and living room. Two bedrooms each with a queen bed. We also rent the house next store, so this is a great option for a larger family or multiple families to stay close together, but have their own space. The house next store sleeps 4-6. Contact me for more information.

Other things to note
Being this is in a lakeside community, the cabin is on a hill and the driveway is steep and narrow. We recommend coming up the little road across from the driveway as that makes for an easier entry in. In the pictures, you will see a drawing recommending entry into the driveway or you can back in. There is gravel to start the driveway and then turns to grass.

We provide a starter kit of toilet paper, paper towels, kcups and tide pods, just enough to get you through the first night until you can get to the store.

Trash pick up is done by the owner, typically at the end of your stay. That being said, if you have an abundance of trash or it starts to smell, let us know and we will pick up during your stay or you can drop it off at the convenience center just before Route 25.

If you’re planning a trip from October to the end of December and want to bring a boat, we have a slip available at a marina 2 miles away. Please message me for availability and details. Has been renting through another site for 2 years, so you could find reviews there.

Cozy Lake view!

Cabin is small but comfortable for 2 people. The lake view was Awesome--- sitting anywhere on the front porch and you are looking at the lake. Small tip on Driveway access---- Go past the address maybe 50' , you can turn around, and drive up the driveway with some speed --- note>> coming back to the driveway you are coming up hill and in a blind spot. Good thing is , the only car we met on the road to the cabin, was within 150' after turning off the main road. Such a nice stay, that I would really consider coming back and staying again!

We first visited Tennessee 5 years ago and that Fall bought a first cabin on Cherokee Lake. When we moved here permanently 2 years later, we bought this cabin that had been in the same family since the 1960's and right next door to our first cabin.

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood is a quiet lake side community with a few full time residents and several cabins that are used seasonally. We particularly liked this part of East TN because of the lakes and the Smokey Mountains, but it has the best of both worlds: close enough Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg for a partial or full days visit but far enough away for peace and quiet.

What makes this property unique

The view from this cabin is amazing!!! Sit on the front porch and enjoy the view. We have added a fire pit with 4 chairs and a view of the lake.
