Let’s start with the good, because my mama raised me right. The location is beautiful and quiet, secluded and peaceful. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and I had a FANTASTIC weekend… although I give most of that credit to the ladies I was with. Now… bless this cabin’s heart. It needs a DEEP clean. Not a quick Swiffer and a candle! I’m talking scrub brushes, bleach and a full afternoon. We live in the mountains, so we understand cobwebs. But these weren’t new cobwebs. These cobwebs had seniority. A few may have had 401(k)s. This wasn't an "Opps I missed it" - more like a "It's fine, maybe they won't notice" type situation. There were broken lights, a broken trash can, holes in the walls and just an overall lack of cleaning and maintenance. If I owned this cabin and paid a company to manage it, I would absolutely want to know this was happening. The dock is basically unusable. We’re mountain people and we understand hills! But getting to an advertised amenity shouldn’t require the buddy system and a waiver. It was wonky (due to water level - understood) and just plain unsafe! And that’s the shame: this place has SO much potential! It’s a cute little cabin in a great location that simply needs some serious TLC.We laughed, made memories and had a wonderful weekend because that’s what we do. But if this were my property, I’d want someone to tell me.Cute cabin. Great location. Cleaning/Maintenance crew? We need to talk.
