Our family all loved our stay. We had plenty of room to visit and play. We especially love the porch. We went over to Cherokee dam 3 mornings to walk and explore. The birds sang to us every day. Rita was speedily responsive to any question we had about minor things. I have a habit of packing many things we may need but the cabin had it all.
Stayed in VR's all over the world and this one was one of our favorites. The host was timely and very sweet to work with. The home was clean, very well stocked, and absolutely beautiful. We will for sure be coming back.
We has an amazing time, the house was very nice and comfortable. It had everything we needed! I will definitely be back. The owners were also quick to answer any questions we had.
The house is perfect, Steve and Rita have stocked this house so perfectly with the little things that you need. From pots and pans to towels everything you need is here but your food and clothes. We stayed for a week and will be back soon. Honestly the best house we have ever rented. 5 out of 5!

Everything about this house was amazing! From the incredible view to the little things like having flavored popcorn and games for the family! The host was super helpful and we will definitely be back.
The cabin was perfect!! Clean & Roomy. Rita and Steve were quick to respond to any questions we had. The dock and kayaks were great!! We look forward to going back.
Home had everything you needed and plus some! Owner Rita was a jewel! Always helpful and prompt to respond to any concerns. 5 mins from town and all major stores but out of the way so you didn’t feel like you were that close to town. Quiet neighborhood, you are close to a marina so you did hear music if you are there for weekend but we enjoyed that too. Saw couple of deers who wondered neighborhood. All in all one of the best experiences we’ve had!
The house was perfect! The view was perfect! The host was perfect! We enjoyed our time away in this beautiful house with zero problems!
The host, Rita, checked on us and made sure everything was as expected and it was that and more! Definitely recommend this house on the lake!
We were there for a family reunion of people from 4 states. We loved the cabin, especially the large porch with plenty of chairs for all. The weather was rainy on a couple days so we huddled at the firepit on the porch. We were able to enjoy the lake and kayaks on the sunny day. Well stocked amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive and helpful.
We had a great time from the beginning. The owners were so helpful, attentive, and nice to deal with. The property was very well kept. The attention to all details, especially the small ones, were abundant. The view of the lake was great. Wildlife was everywhere and very often visible. More than once we were able to watch the deer grazing in the yard. At one point we were sitting inside at the bay window and the deer were within 10 feet of us. Truly amazing. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evening and gathering around the fire pit. It was so cozy and relaxing. Overall we could not have asked for a more perfect stay.
Tranquil Haven in Tennessee: A VRBO Gem with Breathtaking Views
Our recent stay at this VRBO rental cabin in Jefferson City, Tennessee, during our time attending a football conference at Carson-Newman University.
Tucked away in the serene countryside, yet conveniently close to the university, this cabin provided a peaceful retreat with charming views and comfortable accommodations.
Perched on a gentle slope, the cabin offered lovely views of the surrounding landscape. the rolling hills and dense forests provided a tranquil backdrop for our stay. We found ourselves drawn to the deck each morning, savoring our coffee while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.
Inside, the cabin exuded a cozy charm that immediately put us at ease. The rustic decor and comfortable furnishings created a warm and inviting ambiance. The open-plan layout allowed for easy socializing, whether we were preparing meals in the well-equipped kitchen or lounging in the living room after a long day.
During our downtime, we explored the nearby outdoor activities, including fishing spots. While we didn't venture far, we appreciated the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the Tennessee countryside.
One of the highlights of our stay was the cabin's proximity to Carson-Newman University. Just a short drive away, we found it convenient to attend the football conference while still enjoying the tranquility of our retreat.
Throughout our stay, the hosts were attentive and accommodating. Top notch
Deer Haven was a great place for our family to stay for the weekend. Very clean and quiet. Plenty of room. Great view of the lake. Will definitely stay there again and would recommend to other guests.

We have owned this cabin for about two years and have completely remodeled everything. This is our only rental property and we are committed to making it the best possible. It has our undivided attention! We live about one mile from the cabin, so if you need anything please call us. All of the cleaning is handled by us personally, not a company that has a lot of staff turnover. We truly LOVE this cabin and spend a lot of time here when it is not rented, because it is so peaceful and tranquil. When we walk in, it seems that stress just goes away and a sense of calm just settles in.
Why they chose this property
Peaceful county cabin away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close enough to town to find almost anything that want. The interior is spacious and easy to navigate. It is very friendly for elderly or people with physical limitations because there are no steps except a small 5 inch step to enter the house.
What makes this property unique
The large open kitchen/great room invites you to gather with family and loved ones and linger in comfort while catching up with everyone. Beautiful lake views from a peaceful covered porch where a wonderful breeze is often coming up from the lake. If you don't want to be outside, the views are just as lovely from the bay windows inside. The house is very senior friendly with very few steps and a large walk in shower. There is plenty of parking if you want to bring a boat.
