The Gray Barn Getaway is located in the hub of New Hampshire’s beautiful Lakes Region and White Mountains. With a backdrop of Mount Whittier and the Bearcamp River across the street, hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, snowmobiling and Club Motorsports are moments away. The famous White Mountains, North Conway and Lake Winnipesaukee are within a 30 minute drive.

This home was designed with the goal of creating a modern, cozy, fun and eco-friendly home for making memories with family and friends. You'll love gathering in the open concept great room, games room, or three-season sunroom, cooking up a tasty meal in the fully-equipped chef's kitchen, enjoying a restful night's sleep in one of four themed bedrooms, or enjoying a starry night by the outdoor fire pit.

- Fully equipped custom kitchen includes a dual-fuel range, big refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, quiet dishwasher, wine and beverage cooler, microwave drawer, quartz countertops and a variety of small appliances to cook up any meal you wish

- Custom dining area with rustic barnwood tabletop and banquette seats up to 8

- Open concept living/dining/kitchen with 17 foot tall ceilings, oversized electric fireplace, dimmable mood lighting and 65” Samsung Frame TV

- Four bedrooms - king-sized bed on first floor, queen bed and twin beds on second floor, and queen bed in third floor treetop bedroom. Third floor bedroom is accessed by a narrow set of stairs and does not have a door.

- Two and a half bathrooms - first floor has walk-in shower with seat and body jets, second floor with over-sized heated tub/shower, third floor cozy half-bath.

- Three-season screened porch for lounging and dining.

- Game room with classic video game console, wall-mounted Connect 4 and Scrabble, cornhole, board games table, and 55” TV.

- High speed internet and dedicated workspace.

- Stackable washer and dryer with laundry detergent, drying rack and utility sink.

House Rules to Know Before You Book:
- No smoking or vaping inside the home and sunroom.
- The person making the reservation must be 25 or over, and must be staying throughout the reservation: no third party bookings.
- Maximum occupancy, whether overnight or not, is eight people and is limited to registered guests. Any visitors beyond registered guests must be requested in advance.
- The home has exterior cameras for security purposes. These include the front door, back door, garage doors and driveway. Covering or disabling any of these exterior cameras will result in all guests being asked to vacate the property without refund.
- Check-in time is 4 pm, check out time is 10 am.
- No pets, including emotional support animals.


- Quiet hours are 10 pm - 8 am. You are welcome to enjoy the outdoor screened porch or fire pit after 10 pm, but please be respectful of our neighbors and the peaceful starry nights in Tamworth.
- Fireworks and loud outdoor music aren’t permitted.

Please note: the home is located near Club Motorsports race track and you may hear the sounds of cars on the course between 9 am - 5 pm seasonally.

Beautiful property close to North Conway. The owners were excellent and timely in their communications. The property was clean and had everything we needed. The owners even put up a Christmas tree for our holiday stay. We would highly recommend this property!

The host was extremely helpful and informative, and did a great job at anticipating our needs as we traveled from across the country. She even made sure the home was warm and that lights were on, as we had a late arrival. The home was very clean and we were impressed with how well-stocked everything was. Beds were comfortable, the heated floors were a bonus with the cold weather... there were abundant supplies including extra towels and paper goods. The setting was magical... and the home was designed for maximum comfort. This was literally the most well-planned home rental experience we have ever had! We were in town for a family wedding and decided to take advantage of the recent snowfall to take in some skiing. I would recommend this property for the summer as well, since it is close to many gorgeous natural attractions and recreation areas.

Lovely family trip

Peaceful location with a really well-stocked and nicely laid-out home. Different gathering areas were great for adults and children; the proximity to White Lake State Park is awesome. Great location for day trips, hiking, enjoying the lake and out of the way of the bustle of N. Conway. A nice relaxing place to stay! Host was very communicative and helpful; check-in was super convenient. The game room was fantastic! We loved it!

Great girls weekend!

We had 6 women coming in from 6 different states celebrating over 35 years of friendship for our stay in this beautiful home! My wife and I have been doing the house rental getaways for over thirty-five years from Summer Vacations to Christmas Holidays. The "Gray Barn Getaway" and Host Jane by far have been the "Best" in all our experiences. The Barn is beautiful in a great and quiet location, all the amenities you would ever needed for a vacation stay were available. Jane provided plenty of places to do a lot of exploring and dining and was the perfect host answering questions and offering tips. We would recommend a stay at the Gray Barn and if we are ever up that way again we would book this home in a heart beat. This has been one of the most enjoyable stays I’ve had at any VRBO. The house was absolutely perfect in every way. Any one thing you could think about or want was there and available for use. Lovely barn close to Club Motorsports

I was at a three day event at Club Motorsports and this barn is a 5min drive. The barn is new and the owner created a beautiful setting. My wife was working remotely while I was driving and was very happy with the wifi and setting.

The Gray Barn Getaway was perfect! Our hosts communications were timely for both check-in and check-out. We felt super supported if we had a question. Very modern space and included every convenience/amenity one could ever need! The space was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated! Nice touches everywhere! For example, every switch in the house was labeled! Love that! The gourmet kitchen was stunning as well as the bathrooms! The bedrooms were also lovely and super comfortable. The game room was amazing! So many great activities. Honestly, I wish I could live here! LOL!

Top-notch design and layout at this very new house. Exceptionally well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Everything was super clean and in tiptop working order. While full-featured with very current technologies, no issues encountered at all - digital key pad, lighting controls, thermostat, fireplace, and firepit. Isn’t that a lynchpin of luxury? I would not hesitate staying here again!

Spectacular / Everything you could need!

This home and experience was spectacular. It was clean and beautiful. It was chalked full of amenities that made our stay easy and memorable. It has board games, corn hole, four in a row. The fire pit was a smokeless solo type and was stocked with firewood and many camp chairs. The kitchen had everything you need for cooking full meals. We were in NH for our daughter’s wedding and these accommodations made everything better. Wine fridges, temperature controls that worked, beautiful showers. Communication with Jane was easy and responsive. If you are looking for extraordinary, this is the place.

4th of July Long Weekend

Our group (five adults and two children) stayed here over the 4th of July. The house was beautiful; our group kept commenting on the level of detail that had gone in to furnishing the house and it was clear that the hosts really thought through what would be useful for people coming to stay. Many other rentals like this have only the bare minimum (especially when it comes to kitchen) but every time we thought we might need something, it was there! Jane, the host, was ever accommodating and available. She also let us know about various holiday goings-on to help us plan our time there. It was the small touches throughout that made our stay incredibly relaxing - the welcome basket that included 4th of July glow bracelets for our kids was an adorable touch. It was easy to check-in and start our vacation. We are already talking about if we can plan to come back again next year!

Hidden Gem!

Wow! We had the best time at this property. We go every winter and often rent a different property every winter on VRBO but I for sure know we will come back to this property! House has everything you may need. The second floor with the living room and open kitchen was perfect for everyone to hang out. The guys loved the heated garage where they were able to watch golf and play pacman! We ended up being there for a snow storm and the owners were very communicative and came to dig us out! Communication with Jane was great, she was very down to earth and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend this property to others. Tamworth is a true hidden gem! The house is very high tech and new but dont let that sway you from renting this property! There are QR codes to help you with anything that is electronic! Thanks Jane and Roe!

Exceptional- beyond our expectations!

So much to say! This was our first stay with Vrbo, and we were truly blown away by this experience! We were looking for a place to stay for our daughter’s wedding and fell upon The Gray Barn Getaway which was a new listing and therefore we’d be the first guests-no previous reviews. We took a leap of faith based on photos and the communication we had with the host Jane- I could tell she was warm, attentive, and responsive, so we went for it and booked the property- we are so glad we did! Everything was pristine, so much attention to detail. We felt so welcomed as soon as you walk in to the landing area. Besides your personal belongings you would need for a trip, everything was thought of with such care and available if you forgot something at home- it felt like we were house sitting a families house- everything was already there for our use, it was truly amazing and a breath of fresh air that these hosts put so much thought, energy, time, and trust to leaving a place so perfect to be loved by others. We wanted to stay longer! We were welcomed with a personalized note and welcome basket. Our host Jane was so thoughtful, I knew we made a good choice the day we were traveling she sent a note for safe travels. She was warm, friendly and ALWAYS responsive whenever we had a question or comment to share- this is a huge plus! The rooms were all so spacious the kids played hide and seek! We made so many memories and would 100% recommend and stay again! We loved it, thank you!

Why they chose this property

The home is nestled back in the pines, with the backdrop of Mount Whittier and peaceful starry nights. What we love about Tamworth is that it's a quaint, small town, yet there is so much to do within a 5 - 30 minute drive. Close to Club Motorsports private race track, lakes, hiking, and local producers of food and spirits, this special place is the spot to get away from it all.

What makes this property unique

The Gray Barn Getaway was designed to be comfortable, well-equipped and eco-friendly with fun touches, like antique barn decor, feature walls and dimmable lighting. We've tried to include all the comforts of home to provide our guests with a great experience. We built this home to be eco-friendly and energy efficient, with solar power off-setting almost all energy usage. We're happy to provide a level 2 EV charger for guest use.
