Being a bit skeptical, I prepared myself for the photos to be not current and for things to not work quite correctly. I was happily incorrect. The pool and hot tub were excellent, the bedrooms spacious and the kitchen completely functional.Safety was very important to my daughter and I on this "Dad's Trip" and the sense of a secure environment was absolute. The running opportunities were excellent once the modest traffic patterns became clear.Ask locals where the horse trail near the beach is and be prepared for some mud and sea to splash through. Running on the roads was surprisingly safe. The vibe from drivers was relaxed as long as you wrapped up your run before 7am.You can walk 400m to fully stocked grocery stores with liqour available.The nearby town is a 5-8 minute drive. Parking is catch as catch can and free. Local restaurants are amazing.There is a breakfast place that has "Chocolate" in it's name. Banana pancakes, coffee with vanilla ice cream - perfect.A tiny, almost obscure Italian restaurant named Tuscany, Italy (?) had maybe 6 tables. Perhaps the best find of all. Homemade pasta and the restaurant is owned and managed by an Italian couple. She works the front and he's the Chef. Don't be put off by the basic look. You will be delighted. Going south from our Jungle Villa, we happened on another extraordinary restaurant, El Refugio. Arrive at 5:30pm and you'll have the place solo! Service, setting, menu and happy dogs! Again, perfect!
