Our stay was wonderful and made even better by how helpful and responsive the host was. Communication was excellent, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and just what we needed during our trip to get our son settled into his first year of college. Having such a thoughtful and attentive host made all the difference — highly recommend!

Lovely Bungalow

The location was an easy walk to the Bay Beach. Fenced in back yard perfect for our fur babies. Bedrooms were comfortable, full kitchen

Great Place But...

Property was great. House was clean and the perfect size. Nice beach close by. Very affected by costal flooding. Water comes in late morning and envelopes the whole house. It recedes after a few hours but the water can get deep.

Break from the Boat Get-Away

My husband, dog Ziggy, and I needed to get off the boat to help make living a bit less cumbersome while needed work was done. The property was clean, a close walk to the beach, and had easy access to restaurants when we didn't feel like cooking. If the weather had been nicer we certainly would have taken advantage of the botanical gardens and First Landing park too.

Broken Bed

We had high hopes for this home—it’s been completely redone and looks great at first glance. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that really affected our stay.One of the beds was broken when we arrived, which made it unusable. We ended up trying to sleep on the couch, but it wasn’t comfortable at all. Since it was late when we got in, we didn’t want to bother anyone by calling the owner's cell, so we sent a message through the VRBO site. Unfortunately, we never received a response.Another issue was the bathroom—there was a strong smell of urine, which seemed to be coming from the bath mat. It was pretty off-putting. If the mat had been cleaned and the bed had been in working condition, we likely would’ve stayed the full three nights we had booked. Instead, we left after just one night.That said, the backyard was a definite highlight—fully fenced and perfect for pets or kids. It's clear the place has potential, but some corners were definitely cut during the renovation.We’re not asking for a refund, but we do hope the bed gets fixed for future guests. With just a few small fixes, this could be a great place to stay.
