Wonderful stay up in the hills!

Great location to explore the central and western areas of Puerto Rico. The house was easy to find, even in the dark. We enjoyed birding from the deck, observing many species just flying overhead and in the trees on the property. My favorite were the Puerto Rican Owls that called at night.Overall a wonderful stay at a great house. I would love to come back again to enjoy with my family!

Great stay in Lares!

We had a great time here! The kids ran around the huge yard. The water was high, so we weren’t able to go to the river, but I imagine that would be fun during times with lower water levels. We fell asleep every night to the sounds of nature.

Secluded and Relaxation

This place was unique and full of character. It had everything we needed especially the tranquility. The river at the end of the property was a treat and fun. The owner was incredible, attentive and made us feel like family. She has other property’s around the island which we’ll be exploring in the future

Simply the best!

We stayed at 3 properties during our trip and this was our absolute favorite! The location is great, we did day trips to Cabo Rojo, Rincon, and Arecibo from the house. The property itself is magical- from the views off the porch, to the little touches like mirrors in each room and plenty of outlets for charging devices- it felt like home. Also, the mattress is the best we slept on our whole trip (and we have someone who likes firm support and another who likes to sleep on a cloud). This was our first trip to PR and we are already planning when we can come back, we will definitely stay here again!

Nice mountain getaway

Love that the property is pet friendly and it has a great yard for your dogs to run and play. The view is beautiful and the telescope is a nice touch, especially since we were there during the full moon. The only feedback we have would be to provide the WiFi password, the one on the back of the router was not correct; however, there were a couple of streaming services available on the smart TV so that was nice. The top sheet on the bed was folded up under the pillows and if you want paper towels, bring a roll with you. Otherwise the house was well stocked and comfortable. LOVE the beautiful kitchen cabinets!

Fantastic Unique Stay in the mountains of Puerto Rico

Our family of four planned on doing some hiking and caving in the Laras area of Puerto Rico and we needed an accommodation within the area. This was PEFECT for our family. The "container" cottage is unique with a breathtaking back porch view of the limestone mountains of Puerto Rico. It fit our family of four perfectly and we enjoyed grilling on the back patio each evening...and having cofee in the mornings on the patio before we headed out on our adventure. Its is uniquely located to some of the best high adventure sports in the area (rapelling, caving, kayaking, hiking). Hosts were outstanding in their communications! We loved it!

Host was very welcoming, view in the backyard is stunning. Tubs face the trees and river outback. Cool little home- very rustic though and needed a bit of cleaning/tlc in and out. Some more detailed instructions/a gate photo would have been helpful, as would some instructions about operating the outdoor movie setup. When asked, the host was very response to our concerns about cleanliness and provided instructions on everything. Unfortunately house didn’t have batteries to make the movie remote work, but those were probably used by the last guest. House has a fairly low ceiling/low ceiling fans and pronounced tilt in the front room so if you’re very tall just be prepared (my husband is 6’5 and the fans touch his head). Host ensured us it was up to code- ultimately didn’t stay a second night as we weren’t comfortable but host did offer a refund. We haven’t gotten said refund for the second night yet- will update when it arrives.

Rainforest Getaway

My friend and I had a great time in this cozy little house. I gave 4 in the online listing because few things on the deck already need some retouching. The inside was amazing, no bugs, very clean, beds are very comfortable, beautiful view, quiet. Few minor things: no dish soap, no microwave dishes, only hot water on shower head, tv remote run out of battery, the entrance driveway is steeper than shows online. We couldn’t enjoy the water tub or river due to the rain but that is Mother Nature. Love the sound of Coquí and rooster. This is a place in the rainforest and roads are very narrow and curve but this brought more flavor to our adventure. Owners were very attentive to our needs. We felt safe. We will go back and we recommend this place to friends. Thank you for having us.

I purchased this piece of land in Lares, in the center area of the island, where mountains and lush vegetation make us connect to life simplest wonders of nature. We have access to a shallow river which is great to explore on good weather days.

This container house is the result of a dream and lots of thinking, planing and doing. It was built to have a comfortable space to sleep but mainly to be spent on the terraces around... it was built to disconnect from everyday hassles. Hope you feel it while there. :)
