Had a wonderful time! Had deer and turkey visit nightly. Saw quail. A bratty male turkey saw his reflection in my car. Had to shoo him away. The place is nicely updated. Has a beautiful view and is very comfortable and relaxing. Near many of the FairPlay wineries. It was great! Will see you next year!
Even though it was a little remote, the directions were very easy to follow and very helpful since the GPS is not accurate. The home is very charming, clean, comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked with need. There are probably a dozen wineries within a 20 to 30 minute drive. Every morning, we were pleased to see wild, turkeys, and deer in the neighbors yard, and we had a relaxing view in the evening in the Adirondack chairs in the backyardIf you’re looking for peace and tranquility, I highly recommend staying here and would recommend you do your shopping at the Safeway in Placerville before you head for the 30 minute drive to the to the house
The home was a nice place for our stay while visiting our son for his graduation from UC Davis. We also wanted to visit lake tahoe while here. The home was clean and located in a quite location. Has a nice view of the hills nearby and we saw deer, rabbits, quail , and plenty of turkeys every day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The mountain view was breathtaking. If you enjoy being off the beaten path, away from city lights and noise, this place is for you. You will be out in the wide open spaces of nature.
Property description was accurate. Communication with Host was great. Would definitely stay at this property again.
Stayed just one night with five friends on the way to Tahoe. Would like to come back for a longer stay. This is a Gem of a property, as described!
It was clean, nicely decorated, and has what one needs when away from home (dishes, papertowels, silverware, towels, shampoo/body wash & conditioner, washer & dryer). Host was very deliberate in creating a cozy atmosphere.
There is a Dollar General nearby. This was convenient, as we stopped by for snacks and breakfast items. It is fully atocked with most of what you might need on a trip.
Perfect Spring Getaway with Amazing Views, Wildlife, and Stargazing
We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful 2-bedroom, 1-bath home during early spring! While it’s not technically at the very end of the road, it certainly feels like it—offering total privacy and tranquility. The location is incredibly peaceful, and the views from the house are absolutely stunning. The outdoor space, listed as a “barn” in the advertisement, was so much nicer than that! It’s actually a lovely covered deck with a table, perfect for sitting outside and soaking in the incredible surroundings. The home is thoughtfully stocked with an excellent kitchen and all the supplies you could need to prepare meals. It truly felt like a home away from home, with everything in great condition and well-maintained.One of the most memorable experiences of our stay was waking up one morning to a wonderful sight—8 to 10 wild turkeys grazing in the front yard, with 4 deer nearby! It was a magical moment and made us feel so connected to nature. The property also has lovely walking paths to explore, which were perfect for morning strolls. Plus, it’s just a short drive to some fantastic wineries, so you can easily enjoy local tastings.Being able to have our dogs with us was a fabulous bonus! They loved exploring the property as much as we did.At night, the stargazing was phenomenal. Being so far from city lights, we had clear, dark skies and saw a dazzling array of stars—truly a highlight of the trip.We coul
