Additional Sleeping Arrangements: Two Twin Trundle Beds plus Queen and Twin air mattresses on lower level.

Location: On the Eastern Shore of Rangeley Lake, near City Cove. 1.2 miles to downtown Rangeley and 8.1 miles to downtown Oquossoc, and 7.8 miles to Saddleback.

FAQs: This property has a gas grill (available mid-May through mid-October.). Boats must be kept on the mooring. The dock is installed in the beginning of June. Pool table/Ping Pong Table combo located in garage area (not available in the winter). Two kayaks, floats, horseshoes, and cornhole available to use. Garage not available to park cars in.

The Hosts and amenities are top notch, Thank you! My only suggestion is to update the mattresses especially the main floor lake side room. I is basically unsleepable. Other than that it was a great experience!

Winter at sunset cove

Had an awesome winter season, at sunset cove. Perfect spot to spend the winter weekends right up the street from saddleback and snowmobile access to trail up the street. Dinner is a quick drive and got to wake up to snow covered mountains and the frozen lake every day. The house had everything we could ask for and more!

Sunset Cove August stay

We loved our stay at Sunset Cove. The area and house were awesome and we had a wonderful week. The house is beautiful and we especially loved the open concept with living area, kitchen and dining area, along with the screened in porch. Beautiful views of the lake from the wall to wall windows in living room and deck! Nice comfortable furniture both inside and out. The dock was awesome to swim off and take in the beautiful views and sunsets. We loved listening to the loons! A couple suggestions: A regular toaster in the kitchen would be nice - the air fryer is not the best to use just to make toast. Also, a trash can with lid for kitchen - the kitchen garbage can had no lid, so we used a baking tray to avoid looking at and smelling the garbage. The house was a bit dusty overall - nothing major, but some areas looked to not have been cleaned for awhile (eg, ledge under bathroom window was very dirty, cobwebs on front hall stair railings). We also found the bed in the master BR on first floor to be very hard and not comfortable. We loved kayaking on the lake! A challenge encountered was that there was not a spot to put the kayaks in the water off the shore, so we had to put them in from the dock. It was very tricky to get the kayak in the water off the dock, and was difficult to then get out of the kayak, and then get the kayak out of the water. Had to pull it up on the dock by the ladder. The lake level was several feet below the dock level so we could barely reach the kayak to pull it out. It was a 2-person job each time. Is the lake low this year? The dock seemed pretty high from the water level. Overall, a great stay and we hope to return some time!

Sunset Cove vacation

Fully furnished home for our use. Two Kayaks included. Great dock for all and for kids to jump in the lake! Peaceful, quiet spot with gorgeous view. Close to town and store. Will consider renting it again. We had a very nice family vacation (8 of us) and more than enough room. We had a hard time packing up to leave.

Beautiful getaway

We had an amazing time at sunset cove. The house had everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed the lake and all the beautiful wildlife. A fabulous and relaxing vacation. We will definitely be back. The only suggestion would be an extra trash can outside for all the trash we had during the week.

House is a good size for 10.

Close to grocery store and shopping in town. Could have had more towels, pillow cases, dish towels, etc. While the management was easy to communicate with, the home owner never responded to my questions. I was told there was no WiFi, and yet there was. More frequent trash pick up would have been nice too- unfortunately, wild animals ripped it up and made a mess. Putting kayaks in and out of the water was difficult as it is very rocky and slippery. We left a day early :(

Great family vacation

Our family had a great vacation at Sunset Cove, despite a cool week this year. This house is very private and well equipped. The kitchen has everything you need and is easy to work in. There is a cute porch, spacious living room, large deck, great for meals while enjoying the lake view. The dock is wonderful and we spent many hours out there. The kids enjoyed all the water sports. Great to be near the IGA for anything we forgot! We're looking forward to returning next year.
