We had such a wonderful stay at this house in Emerald Lake! The house was extremely clean, comfortable, and perfect for a getaway with friends and our young kids. Having access to the lake was a huge bonus, and we loved being able to use the kayaks provided by the hosts.The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day outside, and the fire pit made for some great evenings together. The house had everything we needed for a fun, relaxing family getaway. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for four days in June with our children and two young grandchildren. The house was much bigger than we expected. We loved that sheets and towels were included. Outdoor living area was lovely with a deck, a fire pit patio and additional seating by the lake. Morning coffee watching the sunrise was dreamy. We saw plenty of deer. Location was peaceful and quiet. A problem with the fire pit gas tank was resolved the same day. We are planning on returning again.

Great Pocono location - close to so many destinations. House was roomy, clean and well maintained. Walk out back door to hot tub, or fire pit, or lake. Outdoor community pool within walking distance. One plumbing issue was handled within a couple of hours. Would return to this house.

Great spot for a Girls Weekend!

Loved our stay. Super comfortable house with nice accommodations. Hot tub was awesome and the beds were comfy! We loved the kitchen/dining area! It was great for everyone to hang out while we cooked. Would recommend bringing some extra serving dishes and bowls for cooking. The kitchen supplies were more basic.

Pretty View

Enjoyed the home overall. Pretty inside, clean, and beds comfy. Relatively close in proximity to ski areas. Great open space. Game room areas were fun. Knew the pool table was small, but surprised that the ping pong table was as well. Stayed during winter months, but believe the outdoor experience would be great in the spring/summer.

Overall: Extremely disappointed by the gap between the listing and reality. The outdoor lighting went unfixed for our entire stay, cleanliness/upkeep issues and slow/unresolved communication from Avantstay throughout. Cons:Outdoor lighting: The firepit string lights were broken on arrival (Sunday). A repair tech came Tuesday, found they were waterlogged, and said Avantstay needed to approve replacements. Despite having until our Sunday checkout, Avantstay never did; we lost the entire week of outdoor evening use.Cleaning supplies: The promised "starter kit" included leftover paper towels and dish soap from prior guests, both nearly empty. We requested replacements and waited 24 hours with no delivery, so we bought our own.Cleanliness: Dead flies in the bathroom light fixtures and windowsills, hair still in the shower, and stains on windows, couches (living room and office), and stairwell/foyer walls. Pictures do not reflect the lack of upkeep of the house or firepit. Missing/damaged items: No remote for the kitchen TV; a broken Adirondack chair had been discarded in the woods; a canoe, chess set, playing cards, and foosball table — all listed as included — were nowhere to be found.Pros:Very spacious for groupsComfortable bedsGreat lake accessBottom line: For what we spent on this vacation, the value we received fell far short.

Fun Pocono Getaway Location

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We were a group of 3 couples looking for a long weekend getaway from the city, and this house was perfect! Our stay was during the “shoulder season” in late March so it was very quiet and peaceful. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to enjoy all of the outdoor amenities this property offers, but we still enjoyed our stay nonetheless. I would imagine this is a great property during the summer .. We will definitely return at some point. And I can’t say enough good things about AvantStay as the property managers. First class operation with great communication and responsiveness. All in all it was a perfect getaway !

Nice stay

House was actually larger than it seems. all bedrooms on second floor. There are 5 bedrooms. One is the bunk bed room. Not sure why it says bonus room. The lake is great. Beautiful spot to sit and kayak. The grill was fantastic. Weber 2 burner and the starter worked and everything. The community amenities are nice. Beach being the best. Outdoor community pool is fun as well. When we had issues or questions avantstay fixed them right away. Hot tub needed chemicals and a mini split leaked. Both were addressed immediately. Overall a great stay.

The house was clean and lovely. Upon arrival on a chilly summer day, we realized we were unable to use the hot tub and the firepit. The hot tub was below 70 degrees and did not heat up in the 8 hours we were hoping to use it. We were abe to use it the next day. Someone had built a wood fire in the propane firepit and it was a mess and not conneted to propane. There was no propane tank on the grill and no kitchen necessities in the kitchen. We had planned a nice Father's Day steak dinner and were unable to cook outside. I had to send my sons out for some kitchen necessities to make dinner. There were no oven mitts and only one bowl in the kitchen. The baking pans literally looked like they had been put away without being washed. I spent my frst day of vacation scrubbing pots and pans. As far as the recreation amenities, there was only one ping pong paddle and one useable poolstick. There was no foosball even though that was listed as an amenity. That was ok because the basement smelled so bad from the garbage in the adjoining garage that it was unpleasant to be there. We enjoyed our stay and used the kayaks everyday. They are not registered for 2026. The fishing was good. This house is lovely, just be sure to pack salt and pepper and cooking oil and ground coffee, also listed as an amenity but not present. No bandaids in kit We were sad to spend 4500.00 for a week and to have the house lack so many amenities. We will most likely avoid avantstay managed properties.

Great Location Small Bedrooms

The outdoor experience was very good: the house is next to a lake, there are plenty of chairs with a nice view, and there is a hot tub and a gas fire pit. The indoor experience was not that good. Poorly designed layout. With the exception of the master bedroom, the bedrooms are very small, with no dresser, table, or chest of drawers. There is a small closet. However, one of the bedrooms has no closet and no where to put your clothes. All bedrooms are on the second floor, with one bathroom to serve four bedrooms. There is a full bath next to the kitchen on the first floor and another full bath in the basement.The entire floor of the house has woodgrain linoleum, without a single area rug. Although the kitchen is large, the counterspace is minimal since there is no island.Most of the windows do not have screens, so beware of the bugs when you open them. Although there is a gas grill on the deck, both gas cylinders were empty.No complaints about the game room in the basement. We really appreciated being able to take our dog. Also, the management company was responsive to our complaints and brought over a nice gift basket.

fun house but encountered some major and minor issues.

Rented this home for a weekend girls trip for 10 people. Overall had a great time but there is definitely some room for improvement. The pros: - lots of space, large couch and dining table - rather clean - plenty of bathrooms and sleep space - lots of activities at the house (game room, hot tub, kayaks, fire pit) - close to fun activities in the area - not too close to other houses - well decorated - kitchen has tea, coffee, some spices, oil the cons: - the heat did not work the first night. it was freezing outside and only the heat in the basement worked. we tried to follow the posted directions but the house did not heat up. we attempted to contact the host at 9pm, but we did not get a response until the morning. this was unacceptable as there was truly no working heat. Upstairs temperatures remained in the 50s overnight so we all had to wear multiple layers and had difficulty sleeping. (@vrbo we'd like to get some money back for this - we effectively felt like we were camping) -ultimately when we were able to get in touch in the morning, we were instructed to fix the circuit breaker in the garage. however, there was a sign on the door to the garage that said the garage is off limits. we would have tried to do that the night prior if the garage had been accessible to enter. in addition, there were no lights in the garage (or if there were, we could not find them) -kitchen lacked coffee filters -bathrooms lacked hooks for towels -could use some rugs for cold floors

With so many activities and a stunning view of the lake, this place was a perfect getaway. All the bedrooms are nice and the place is very spacious.
