Ladd's Lake House - 3 Bedroom, 2 bath, lakefront, walkout ranch to sandy beach.

Completely refurbished with queen size mattresses in two bedrooms, each with a private entrance. 3rd Bedroom is secure for children with a queen bunk down and a full up. Laminate flooring throughout. New paint when needed.
55" LED in living room. 32" LED in master, 32” LCD in other adult bedroom,
cable and high speed internet. Blue ray player provided. Apple TV.
Fully equipped kitchen, blender, toaster, coffee pot, Kuerig coffee maker. Pots & pans

Washer & dryer provided.
Towels and sheets are furnished.
All of our towels, bed linens and comforters are washed weekly.

Check in is 4:00 PM Saturday, Check out is 11:00AM the following Saturday.

Upper Silver Lake cottage

We had a great stay at Ken & Sharon Ladd’s cottage on the lake. Ken met us when we arrived & explained every thing we needed to know. He even helped get our pontoon boat situated in his lot across the street. This cottage was clean & well stocked, & worked perfectly for our family.

Comfortable lakeside house

This lakeside house was comfortable and clean. It had a well stocked kitchen and a big dining table for eating inside. The beds were very comfortable and rooms had nice sized closets for storage. The master bath shower was a bit small for us, but the main bath had a full bath shower/tub. We appreciated the nice yard, additional parking space close by, the fire pit area, dock, and use of the paddle boards and kayaks. The host was very pleasant and responsive to anything we needed!

The Ladd's were wonderful! We appreciated & made full use of the waterfront & kayaks & paddle boards. This is a good location for other activities: Hart-Montegue bike trail, Shelby Community park, Stoney Creek tubing & beach, jeeping, the Lighthouse beach we also went to Ludington State Park to hike. The kitchen was well stocked, which was good for us, as we ate all of our meals in. They do not have central air, which when you read the description closer you realize it's a window air conditioner and 3 large fans. Central air would make the home more comfortable & less dampness.Overall we had a great time with our grandchildren!

Keep coming back

This was our third consecutive year staying at Ladd's House. Great location close to many unique places to relax with a drink and remove yourself from your normal crazy life. The house has pretty much everything you need. Great view of the lake and quiet mornings on the patio.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Ken, the owner, was very nice and accommodating. The kids had fun fishing and swimming off the dock. We loved everything about it and would stay here again.

Perfect location -

Beautiful lakefront property - great location in the middle of everything. Host was awesome - took the time to walk us through the property upon check in. House had an amazing view of the lake from the living room window. House was very clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Short vacation

The house is fine for three people, four is the children are young enough to bunk together. The little lake is great for toddlers in sandy shallow are but reedy and mucky at four feet and beyond so not appealing for adult swimmers. Excellent beach south a short drive at lighthouse.

We loved having coffee looking out at the lake every morning! Location amazing and the stay was so comfortable! Best master bed I’ve slept in at any VRBO! Especially loved two separate bath rooms! We will definitely be back! Five stars!!!

Peaceful lake fun

Our family of 6 had a great stay at Ladd's Lake House. Our hosts were accommodating, readily available, and supplied all we needed for using the lake, cooking, and resting, including kayaks, baking dishes, spices, cozy bedding, games, and books. The amazing sand dunes and town ice cream stands were a short drive away. The house location on Upper Silver Lake was a quite respite away from town. We enjoyed sitting out on the dock and in the many chairs on the back lawn. Preparing s'mores in the fire pit was easy as the fire wood was supplied. We would definitely stay again!

Our favorite stay in Silver Lake

We’ve been vacationing to Silver Lake once a summer for a few years now. This was our favorite stay yet! The house was very clean and well taken care of. Ken was very kind and helpful. We loved the layout of the house, especially for our family. We could see the kids fishing off the dock and swimming even while in the living room, kitchen, or dinning room! Kids had a blast fishing and using the kids kayaks, loved those. Ken restocked the firewood after our bonfires without us even asking. It was a short drive to the dunes, which is part of why we love Silver Lake! We would love to stay here again!

Pleasant Stay

Good location for both Silver Lake and Pentwater. Nice little house in a quiet neighborhood with all the amenities we needed. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the view of the lake. Owners are nearby if you need them but do not make you feel like you are being watched.

We had a great vacation. The place was clean and stocked with anything you'd need. We did end up going to buy kayaks so we all could go not just the kids. But we had a fantastic time.

Silver Lake Tradition

Our extended family had plenty of room at Ladd’s Lake House. Ken & Sharon met us at house. They wanted to make sure we didn’t have any questions about their very clean, spacious lake home. We love being right on lake to kayak & fish. After driving over Sand Dunes all day, we came back to grill something for dinner. Then you have to have yearly s’mores made over fire pit with wood that’s provided. Our family would 💕 to rent house again!

It was a lovely stay at this super clean cottage. Very bright with lots of windows and nice breezes blowing in. We can reiterate all the positive comments from past renters. Ken was a very gracious host and there for us. Owners definitely take pride in caring for their place. Also grateful the week was beautiful weather the whole time. The very nearby town of Silver Lake and the sand dunes provided much fun. Also check out the lovely drive to the Sable Point Lighthouse.

Perfect Getaway

Aside from the weather not being in our favor at the beginning of the week, this rental was pretty awesome. Having lake access right at the house was great, and it was just the right amount of shallowness for my niece and nephew to play in the water. We also enjoyed having the use of their kayaks and paddle boat. Not to mention the location was quick access to all of the best things to do at Silver Lake. Sharon and Ken were great hosts and were available for all our needs!

Second Stay Success

This was our second stay, and despite the crummy weather we had a great time. The house was in perfect order, Ken was great with check-in and out, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.
