Restoration Station-2 BR/2 Ba Log Cabin on10-ac sheep farm, see also VRBO2023701
Welcome to Mount Carmel Farm, and Restoration Station, one of two cabins situated on a 10-acre sheep farm only a mile from Landrum town center. Offers peace and solitude with occasional farm sounds. Hang out on the front porch swing and watch the sheep or sit a spell on a large back deck and watch the early morning deer graze the back field.
The ‘Restoration Station’ Log Cabin is a cozy place to enjoy breakfast before heading to Main Street for antique shopping or Amish foods and furniture exploring. Have breakfast at Southern Manners, lunch at Hare and Hound, dinner at Soulisa’s and finish up with a glass of wine and live music at Overmountain Winery, Mountain Brook Winery or The Red Horse Inn. Dog friendly cabin only thirteen scenic miles from Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC).
Or, take a hike—short or long—to enjoy Green River Gorge, Blue Wall Preserve, Campbell Covered Bridge or Pearson Falls and whip up your own cuisine at the cabin. Ingles has a plentiful grocery selection and O’Darbys staff can provide informed guidance on the spirits—between the two you are sure to find everything you need.
Or just soak up some slow-down time, watch the sheep meander in the pasture, read a good book, waft the mountain air, listen to the birds or stargaze the foothills big sky. You will find the kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials and many of the nice to have extras—such as blender, griddle, wok, and more.
There are many other coffee and dining options, the favorites include Southside Smokehouse, Sidestreet Pizza, Brooks Tavern, Trade Street Creamery, Buck n Brew, Openroad Coffee House, Katie D’s NY Bagels, Caro Mi’s, Stone Soup, Harvest House and more.

Very welcoming and clean with all the amenities you would want. It rained while I was there and the glass room on the back had that tin roof sound and I fell asleep it was so so wonderful!
Perfect little cabin to get away from everyday grind.
We spent the weekend here and loved it. It’s close to multiple wineries as well as the tryon international equestrian center. We finished our day right in town just a few minutes away from the cabin at a local restaurant/pub. It was a great weekend.
Property is awesome. Great view off the back deck of the mountains. Layout of the unit is nice. Felt very comfortable and relaxed there. Would definitely use this property again.
We can't say too many wonderful things about this property. Very close to Landrum, just minutes from groceries, gas, shopping and dining. Yet, a beautiful remote feeling. We hope to be able to stay here again.
Location was perfect--five minute drive to downtown Landrum but still far enough out to be very peaceful and quiet. Cabin itself is perfect. Beautiful inside and out, plenty of room for me, wife, two young kids. Awesome, big front porch. And it was very warm and cozy on a chilly weekend. Will definitely try to book again some day!
We really enjoyed our stay, the only bad thing, we were unable to sit on front or back porch, the carpenter bees, (looked similar to bumble bees) were flying around both areas, not just a couple, alot. Also, the chairs, cushions were covered with pollen, but of course it is that time of year.
I have never been treated as nice and kind as I was by Larry and Kim (owners). The cabin was honestly perfect. We had an unexpected death while visiting and they showed us tremendous compassion and support. Watching the sheep, as we would leave every morning was calming . The beautiful springtime bulbs and trees blooming was amazing. We will return to this charming place.
This place was a GEM!! Loved the Log Cabin and the country feel of the home. Separate bathrooms were good. Everything worked as it should and comfortable furniture. We saw deer from the front and back porch. Even rabbits running around. A couple of mules in the pasture next to the house. Worked out great taking the dog even! Would definitely stay again!
The property was fine and good
Location for what we needed. However a dog barked for hours and after a while it just got annoying. Not sure if it’s a neighbors dog or the owners.

Hey Audra, thank you for choosing Restoration Station, and we are sorry for the annoyance you experienced. We are amongst four properties comprising 60+ acres and we all have dogs. While we have had occasion of heightened alert barking we have not experienced the day long occurance you did. Generally, when we realize that our dog has went longer than normal due to deer movement or a fox crossing we usually explore any threat toward the sheep. We strive for your experience to be restful and enjoyable. We apologize yours fell short. We welcome you back at anytime to give Restoration Station a second chance, and offer the repeat rental discount.

About the host
Hosted by Larry and Kim Phillips
We are from South Carolina and have loved all that our home state offers from the beaches to the mountains. We are thoroughly blessed to live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Upstate. We are new to Hobby Farming and have begun sheep farming in the past year. Our small farm is home to Black Belly Barbados Sheep as well as two very domesticated German Shortharied Pointer pups. We have a large family who also are nature enthusiasts.
Why they chose this property
Landrum is a great little town still charming in all the ways we remember small town USA. Landrum's slower pace and friendly welcoming feel brought us joy from the first day. Landrum's proximity to so many wonderful surrounding areas, made it the perfect fit to frequent Hendersonville, Asheville, Greenville and all the benefits, sites and scenes they offer.
What makes this property unique
Restoration Station is unique in that it offers privacy from traffic, mountain farm feel and yet still close to very close to town.
