About the host
Hosted by Laura Ghahreman

I am a retired hospitality professional. Having lived and worked at top hotels all over the world, I am so happy to be settled in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I love small town living and enjoy all that the surrounding countryside has to offer, from driving through beautiful back country roads, to outdoor activities including equestrian and hiking trails, to various water activities on nearby lakes and rivers, to exploring unique small towns of the Upstate and Western North Carolina.
I am a mother of four children and have always enjoyed home-making, especially baking, with a newfound focus on heritage bread-making.
Although officially retired, hospitality is in my blood for life, and I truly enjoy hosting and making a place ready and special for guests. Cleanliness is a top priority of mine, and I am happy to work with each guest to meet any special needs.

Why they chose this property
Robin's House is steps away from picturesque downtown Landrum and all of its cute shops and restaurants. The historic First Baptist Church of Landrum sits just behind the house, where guests can enjoy the ringing of the church bells each day at noon. In addition, Landrum is ideally situated with easy access the Tryon International Equestrian Center, 15 minutes away, as well as four of my favorite cities nearby: Asheville, NC, in the heart of the Smoky Mountains featuring the historic Biltmore Estate is only 45 minutes to the northwest; Hendersonville, NC, a smaller city with a vibrant, walkable downtown is just 30 minutes away; Greenville, SC, one of the larger cities in the state seems to have a festival every weekend and features phenomenal shows and performances at both the Peace Center and the Bon Secours Arena, and is an easy 40 minute drive; and Spartanburg, SC is a charming smaller city featuring a walkable downtown with excellent coffee shops, independent book shops, boutiques and restaurants, and ice skating in the winter! Come explore all that this beautiful area has to offer! History buffs will enjoy all the Revolutionary War History in the area, especially nearby Cowpens battlefield and the Walnut Grove Plantation. There is something for everyone, from great music, amazing food, craft and farmer's markets, outdoor activities, and everything in between.
What makes this property unique
This 1940s house was the home of a former mayor of Landrum, and it sits directly across from the Old Post Office. It has been completed updated, including rewiring and re-piping, while still retaining its original charm.
