Luxury, Spacious Villa with private gym, just 4km from the sandy beach!

Casa Elegante is located in Pigi, a small, beautiful traditional village in the prefecture of Rethymno, where everything you need such as: supermarket, restaurant, traditional taverns, pharmacy, butcher and cafeteria are just 1-2 minutes away on foot!!! The nearest sandy beach is just 4 km away and the old town of Rethymno is 9 km away. The distance from both of the Cretan airports (Heraklion and Chania) is 76 km and approximately 1 hour drive!

Casa Elegante is internally 200 sq m. and extends over two levels, offering plenty of space for up to 6 guests. It consists of 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a private gym / spa area.

All bedrooms are equipped with smart, satellite 40 inch TVs, individual air conditioning and open wardrobes! Of course, high-speed Wi-Fi in all indoor and outdoor areas!

On the ground floor, upon entering, guests are welcomed by an open plan living room and kitchen. The living room offers a comfortable, elegant corner sofa, 50’’ TV, fireplace with protective glass and direct access to the pool.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped, offering all the essentials for a self-catering holiday, as well as a dining table for 6. Our guests have direct access from the kitchen to the outdoor dining area and outdoor lounge.
A full bathroom and a bedroom (number 1, in the listing) with a king-size bed and the possibility of dividing it into 2 singles (upon request), having direct access to the pool area, are also available on this level!

Going up to the first floor from the villa's internal wooden staircase reveals 2 additional comfortable bedrooms with full bathrooms in each of them (bathroom number 2 and 3 respectively)!
Bedroom number 2 has a double bed and a view of the pool (even from the bathroom shower), while number 3 has a king-size bed that can be divided into 2 singles (upon request), having direct access to a sunny terrace!!!

The place that clearly cannot go unnoticed is the gym/spa room. On the ground floor a gym with professional equipment and a 4-person sauna will await you to take your vacation experience in a higher level. In the same room, an additional full bathroom ( number 4 in the listing), as well as a washer + dryer machines will make your stay easier!

Outdoor space
The outdoor space of the villa is impressive! The 600m2 of the plot has been appropriately landscaped to provide comfort to guests of all ages.
Initially the sliding door allows you to park your cars easily and safely within the property (up to 2 cars).

The 180m2 front yard is equipped with a trampoline and a playhouse for our very young guests, a football and basketball court for the children, as well as ping-pong and billiards for everyone!

Continuing the outdoor space and between the front yard and the pool area is an outdoor dining area with shade, as well as a sunny small outdoor lounge! The dining area has direct access to the kitchen! Just outside its door is a large round, wheeled, gas BBQ grill, with a cast iron grill, always available for immediate use!

The most beautiful part of the villa is undoubtedly the pool area.
The pool, which can be heated upon request, has dimensions of 28m2 and a depth of 1.5m, and includes a 4m2 area with a depth of just 0.5m!

In a prominent position in the area is a huge outdoor sofa, as well as 6 sun loungers. Finally, in the corner and in isolation is a 3-seat jacuzzi and the outdoor shower!!!

wonderful stay !!!

Checked in late and Antonis provided us with snacks in case local restaurants were closed which was very kind. We wanted to see things on both sides of the island which made this a great central location. Great neighbourhood with friendly restaurants with fabulous food. beautiful private property that we would come back to any time

Fantastic villa!

This villa is really amazing. The concept of relaxing and sporting together is the best. The villa is clean and modern and the owner is very friendly and helpfull. There is a lot to do for little children but also for teenagers. Our boys loved the playstation. We had a wonderfull time and hope to return. Thanks a lot!

A fantastic place to stay in Crete!

We spent 20 days in Sports Villa and enjoyed every minutes here. The villa is well equipped modern house with gym, swimming pool, etc. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful in every aspect. The location is also perfect: you can live in a quiet small village while the 2nd largest city (Rethimno) is only a few minutes driving. You can also reach practically every corner of Crete within a maximum 1-2 hour driving. Highly recommended!

Wondeful place - Amazing days

It was a fascinating stay in Pigi (Rethymno) this summer. This place makes you feel like home. Sportsvilla is comfortable and modern. The rooms and the surroundings were really clean and very good looking, but we all adored the pool and relaxing area, with Jacuzzi and sauna. I was working out every day and Antonis gave me some advice about training and wellness. Antonis and Georgia are the owners of the villa. We also enjoyed hiking in the narrow streets of Pigi, a really amazing traditional Cretan village. Up there we could also find every good we needed. We visited Rethymno, Chania and Heraklion, inasmuch the property is located in the center of Crete. The owners are very friendly and pleasing hosts. I couldn’t find anything annoying or unpleasant to talk about our residence. We are thinking of visiting the villa next year again, maybe for a couple of weeks in September.

The perfect place with wonderful hospitality

The Villa was perfect, better then the picture show it off. It's really well presented, modern, clean and spacious with 3 large bedrooms, enough space for two families. An awesome party house. The villa has everything you need, smart TV's with Netflix, PlayStation, Gym, jacuzzi, sauna, pool table, a well stocked kitchen, great bbq area, kids play area. You can keep yourself entertained for a while. The Pool is perfect for kids, its got a cordoned shallow area where they can play without worrying about them going into the deep end. The gym is well equipped, again everything you need. The owner Antonis runs a gym so he knows what he's doing in that department. The villa is situated in a cute little village called Pigi, it has a small super market, a butchers, bakers and a pharmacy. It also has a couple of decent restaurant that serve local food at cheap prices. The location suited us nicely, 15 minutes away from the touristy bustle of Rythemno, 5 minute drive to the local beach and central to beautiful local beach towns such as Bali and Panormo. For us the most delightful aspect of the renting this villa was the hospitality of Antonis, he ensured we were enjoyed our stay. He recommended a couple places to go, restaurants to eat and was always available if we had a question. He also had the villa serviced half way through our stay which we were great full for I would highly recommend this villa, it really made our holiday and for the price, it's worth every penny. Thank you Antonis for looking after us, I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Une villa superbe, dans un village atypique non loin de rethymnon (12-15 min env.) une taverne trĂšs sympathique oĂč l on mange trĂšs bien juste en face (env 20’secondes Ă  pied). Une piscine trĂšs agrĂ©able et nettoyĂ©e par le propriĂ©taire tout les 3 jours. Un petit paradis dans une Ăźle paradisiaque

One week in Pigi

The house is situated in a lovely village of Pigi, just a few meters walk from a taverna, minimart, butcher and bakery. Although the minimart sells everything you need you are still only a 5 minute drive from Lidl. We were a family of 5, my husband myself and 3 teenage children. One of my son's is a very keen sportsman and he made full use of the gym which is fantastically equipped. The house was immaculately clean and tidy and very well equipped. The only criticism would be that there weren't that many glasses or cups and its really only set up for six. We ate out most evenings and therefore it wasn't a problem for us, but I think if you were planning to cook at the house everyday you might get a little frustrated. Great pool area, although the door that leads out to the pool area is very easy to catch your fingers in, so those with small children should be careful. All in all we had a great holiday. Antonis and Georgia are fantastic hosts and always on the other end of the phone should you have a problem or just need some advice. I couldn't praise them highly enough. They even provided us with food when we arrived at 1.30am.

Komfortable Villa, zauberhaftes Dörfchen und sehr sympathische EigentĂŒmer

Wir waren im Juni in der Sportsvilla mit unserem fast zweijĂ€hrigen Sohn, einem weiteren PĂ€rchen und dem Cousin meines Mannes fĂŒr 8 NĂ€chte. Die Villa hat eine super Lage, eigene ĂŒberdachte! StellplĂ€tze und ist sehr modern eingerichtet und bietet allen möglichen Komfort. Die KĂŒche ist mit allem, was man braucht ausgestattet und ein Pluspunkt waren auf jeden Fall der Pool mit Kinderbereich, der Grill, die vielen SpielgerĂ€te drausen, der Fitnessbereich mit Sauna und Jacuzzi, den wir auch genutzt haben, sowie die Reinigung die wir zweimal hatten. Kinder sind auf jeden Fall hier willkommen! Bei unserer Ankunft erwartete uns bereits ein gedeckter Tisch, die Gastfreundschaft von Antonis und Georgia waren kaum zu ĂŒbertreffen, an unseren Sohn haben sie auch immer gedacht. Wir fĂŒhlten uns sehr wohl in der Villa, und auch im Dorf Pigi. Es gibt einige Tavernen und kleine MinimĂ€rkte, und eine BĂ€ckerei, Metzger also alles was man braucht. Das Essen in den Tavernen war gut und authentisch und gĂŒnstig! Wir hatten dort eine gute Zeit! Vielen Dank nochmal an Antonis und Georgia!

We, a family of 3 with a friend of our teenage son, stayed at the Sportsvilla from 26.09.2017 till 03.10.2017. We can merely repeat what all the other reviewers have described and praised with regard to the house, its furniture & equipment, the leisure possibilities, village & surroundings and owners. We were unlucky with the weather which can happen. Surely Antonis would have changed it if he could. Pigi however is located so centrally and on a relatively narrow part of the isle, that we were able to find dry and more importantly sunny spots anyway, within reasonable distance. We definitely consider coming back to this place.

Sportsvilla was the perfect retreat for our family; The gym setup was fantastic; the sauna even got frequent post workout use. The kids loved the play area and the pool and the shallow section was perfect for my 2 year old. We were too lazy to make an event out of using the outdoor oven, but then the restaurant that was literally just one house away was too tasty (and economical) to bother with the effort at home. Having the house cleaned twice a week was an unexpected bonus, and the owners were absolutely lovely. Five star!

Fantastic family villa!

We spent 2 weeks here in August with 2 teenagers. We were initially attracted to the villa for it's gym, which was amazing. We used it most days. The villa itself is very modern, fully equipped with all the mod cons and spotlessly clean with a regular maid service. The location is great with all the local amenities in the village, yet you're only a 10 minute drive to the beach and lots of restaurants. Another five minutes takes you into the hustle and bustle of the lovely town of Rethymno. Antonis couldn't have made us feel more welcome, with a much appreciated meal waiting for us on our arrival. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend this villa!

Wonderful place for a family holiday!

We had an amazing time at Sports Villa. We have three children, aged 18, 15 and 9 and the combination of the pool, gym, pool table, basket ball, hot tub and Netflix worked a treat! The villa itself was fabulous - stylish, contemporary, really clean, well equipped, air conditioned and with everything that we could have needed for a week away. The local area offered some good tavernas and we headed further afield to find some amazing restaurants. The nearby towns had lots to offer in terms of food, shopping and beaches. The owners were just lovely - nothing was too much trouble and they even arranged some personal training sessions for our son. If you like to be active on holiday, this is a perfect option.

From doing fitness to relax at the pool is everything included!

We had a great stay at sportsvilla for 10 days. The house is very nice and modern. You find everything between doing fitness in the house gym and hanging out at the pool or relax in the whirlpool. In the house you find everything you need for a nice and relaxing holiday. The villa is locatet in a nice small village but is just about 10 minutes away from Rethymnon, one of the nicest towns on Crete, where you find everything. We can just recommend the sportsvilla in all points. The owner of the villa is very kind and courteous. The pool was serviced twice a week and the house was also cleaned twice a week which was great service!! Thank you very much for the nice stay here on Crete! Hope to meet again!

Nous avons sĂ©journĂ© 3 semaines dans une villa encore mieux que sur les photos, idĂ©alement situĂ©e entre HĂ©raklion et Chania Ă  2 km de la plage la plus proche. Villa moderne, meublĂ©e avec goĂ»t et avec tout le confort nĂ©cessaire (machines, wi-fi, Ă©quipement de la cuisine...).Les propriĂ©taires sont Ă  l'Ă©coute de leurs locataires: accueil, conseil de visites et restaurants. Toujours prĂȘts Ă  rendre service, Ă  tel point qu'ils sont allĂ©s jusqu'Ă  acheter une machine expresso suite Ă  notre question ! Le service est irrĂ©prochable avec un mĂ©nage, plus entretien de la piscine effectuĂ© deux fois par semaine (avec changement des draps et des serviettes). Sur les 4 occupants, 2 Ă©tant trĂšs sportifs, ont pu apprĂ©cier la qualitĂ© ainsi que le nombre d'Ă©quipements de la salle de sport. Les 2 autres ont Ă©galement pu apprĂ©cier les bienfaits du SPA et du Sauna ! Un sĂ©jour inoubliable que nous recommandons Ă  tous ceux qui souhaitent passer des vacances en CrĂȘte, bien placĂ©es, sportives et au calme! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir ! Just Perfect

We stayed at the sports villa in April/May 2016 travelling as a group of friends. We were a bit nervous at first as we seemed to be in the middle of nowhere and a car is essential. However we were soon over the moon when we arrived at the villa. It is absolutely beautiful and every single detail has been well thought out. The rooms are spacious and decorated lovely, lovely living and dining area done to a high standard, very well equipped kitchen and they even left us bits in the fridge to start us off. Playstation 4, smart TV and all mod cons, lovely pool which they came to clean whilst we were there. Great outdoor BBQ and pizza oven and a top terrace with a pool table and seating area. The gym was well equipped, full sets of free weights and barbells, free standing boxing bag, treadmill, cross trainer, kettlebells and smith machine. Perfect after a workout to finish off with a sauna and a chill in the hot tub which is a great size and will fit approx. 5 adults. Garden area to the front with a football goal and seating and modern washing machine, hairdryers, ironing board and iron etc all on hand. It was also a surprised to discover bicycles which we used and had a great laugh. Approx 3min walk from the villa you will find some little shops consisting of a supermarket, pharmacy, butchers, bakers and traditional olive wood workshop, also a few tavernas. A short drive down the road (10min max) and your in a busy little town with lovely shops, beach, restaurants and tavernas, traditional bakery, supermarkets etc and a 15min drive from the villa and your in the main town of Rethymno. Rethymno has everything you could want. The old town consists of beautiful boutiques and high end shops such as rolex, ted baker etc lovely fountains and churches and some amazing places to eat. Further up in the newer area and there are more traditional Greek shops mixed with high street shops and beach front restaurants. The scenery is beautiful with lots of mountain walks, monasteries and ancient ruins nearby. Had a fantastic holiday and the owner Antonis really looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed and spoilt us with ice creams and Greek meals. Will definitely be going back next year.

One word- fabulous!!

My mother, three boys (aged 4 to 10) and I had an amazing stay at the sports villa in Crete. Every element of the stay was perfect, I've summarised these below. The villa: fabulous villa, even better in reality than in the photos! Every need was thought of, the interior was so well designed, laid out and everything was to the high specification. My boys loved spending time in the pool, gym and playing football whilst my mother and I relaxed in the jacuzzi and Sauna. Antonis was such an amazing host, we felt welcomed to Crete as soon as we arrived, and he even gave us a bottle of grappa and essentials in the fridge:) we also met his lovely wife, both such kind welcoming people:) The location: a great location, the village had a mini market and butchers/bakers where we enjoyed fresh bread and cakes each morning. We also visited the local restaurant and had a lovely meal one evening. It felt tranquil, yet in just 10mins drive we could be in the heart of rethmynon enjoying the beautiful harbour. There isn't anything we would change about this perfect stay, and would definitely recommend to anyone...we will certainly return again!

Nice to meet you...

Some person who advised us to visit Crete for our holidays this year was really wise. Especially the delightful villa in Pigi, Rethymno. I’ll speak about the first sports holiday villa in Greece. My wife and daughters are big fans of fitness and working out, so it was an easy decision to make. We found there professional sport equipment and a comfortable, modern designed house to enjoy our stay in. Antonis and Georgia were very polite and friendly hosts and gave us a beautiful welcome basket full of local delicacies.

Sportsvilla is known as the first sports holiday villa in Greece and we may say that they deserve this title. We found very comfortable and modern rooms and facilities. My second visit to Greece was actually my favorite one. The preeminent fellowship consisted of 6 thirty-year-old school teachers this time chose to stay at SportsVilla in Rethymno, Crete. We decided to keep on working out during our vacation, but those days were match more amusing than we expected. This is a really beautiful house, although we loved the relaxing area. Some epic ‘’friendly fights’’ took place , since we all wanted to spend the time there after the gym. SportsVilla is located in the center of Crete, so we rented a car and made some tours of this spectacular island. I’ d like to tell that Antonis and Giorgia, the owners of the villa, were part of the company. Very and friendly hosts, they recommended us a few places to visit in Rethymno. They also organized a fantastic BBQ evening for us and we tasted a local wine. Guys were excited with this drink! I hope we ‘ll have a chance to return here.

Unique sports holiday villa .... We'll be back!

A few weeks later I would like to write about our stay in this unique sports holiday villa in Rethymno, near the traditional village of Pigi. In the middle of the amazing island of Crete we found SportsVilla, the choice which created the best conditions for our vacation. The villa includes a really modern and luxurious interior and home equipment, also professional sports and wellness facilities. Fitness equipment and relaxing area with Jacuzzi and sauna made our holiday full of energy. The best part for grown ups and kids was finally the exterior area! The pool with the submarine bar, the playground and the outdoor pool table excited all of us, especially our little moppets. Antonis and Georgia, the owners of the villa were great hosts and definitely we will keep in touch with them. They offered us a beautiful evening in the BBQ area, where Antonis used the grill and the oven. Delicious food and wine, most of all good company, completed our unforgettable accommodation in Crete.

A really special place...

It’s my pleasure to write a few words about our vacation in SportsVilla, near Rethymno, this summer. Me and my husband, a friendly couple and our 16-year-old sons visited this beautiful place and have nothing but the best to declaim. I ‘m an architect and my husband is a real estate broker, therefore I will start with the house itself. We really loved the building designed and the layout of the rooms in this villa. Professional wellness facilities, equipment for exercising and relaxing, and the surrounding area are perfectly combined with the luxurious bedrooms and living room. Weather in Crete was fabulous, so we were in a very good mood just the day we reached Pigi, that magical traditional village of Crete. The hosts, Antonis and Georgia, also helped us all to feel like home. They had prepared a welcome basket for us, filled with local products and especially the kids got excited. They keep saying that they will return in Crete one of the next years. I hope they’ ll tell us when it happens

Thank you for the amazing days...

My family, my best man and his lovely fiancĂ©e visited SportsVilla this summer. Four crazy adults and two unstoppable kids, we all loved this place and the family of Antonis and Georgia, the owners and hosts. Their really friendly manners had a great affect on our residence in Crete. We took exact instructions and any needful help during our stay, from the time we arrived till the moment we left the villa. Our little boys especially enjoyed the pool and the playground, while myself and my best man were showing off our passion about sports. The professional wellness facilities of the SportsVilla was a characteristic that made a different in our choice and I’d like to say concerning this house, that reality is better than the pictures! My wife has already recommend this place to her sister to visit next year. Anyway, we keep in touch with Antonis, Georgia and their adorable kids and I hope we’ll meet them again

My name is Georgia Chalkiadaki born and grew up in Rethymno Crete. Pigi is a lovely traditional village just 10 minutes away from the city of Rethymno. There my father grew up in an old house which me and my husband Antonis decided to replace it and build the house of our dreams. Only the 17m well can now remember that house!!! Me and Antonis had the original and profitable idea to build the first Sportsvilla in Greece inspired from our two loves: the luxury holidays and sports. Antonis is a gym instructor (we are also owners of a local gym) with Sports studies in Athens University and Master studies in Bristol University. We work together and have three very young children living in village nearby Pigi. I really love travelling around the world and I am sure that I can be very useful during your stay in our villa.
