French Rivera beaches are 9 kilometers down the plateau from Vence. Roads are well traveled and it takes about 20 minutes to Cagnes sur Mer, the local beach town -- with its lovely gallet beaches, beach clubs, and a sea-side promenade that runs for many miles from le Villeneuve town all the way through the city of Nice. This gorgeous city of Nice is only 25 minutes door to door from the apartment, by car, in regular traffic. The international Nice airport is right there on the way into the city of Nice along the Promenade des angles.

In the winter time, we suggest you enjoy the beautiful South of France sunlight -- from a cafe terrace or from within the apartment itself. You can also have a drink on a Cagnes sur mer or Nice beach in the daylight hours. In the summer time, you can enjoy the Mediterranean beaches and swims, day and night, or hike in the bayous of the Vence backcountry. (Winter hiking is a joy, too.) Bikers will enjoy the Vence Backcountry, as will walkers and hikers. You can also enjoy the arts in Vence and local towns, and attend many regional music festivals -- from jazz to pop--during the summer months.
This is our own apartment and it is tended with love and care. We love sharing it when we are living / working in the States, and cannot be in this beautiful spot in France.
