8 Turtles Villa, 5 bedrooms, child friendly, pool, spa, minutes to Boca Grande

Our brand new home in South Gulf Cove is our family friendly oasis. We are located only seven minutes drive from the bridge out to the Boca Grande beaches, and just down the road from a public boat launch and park with a basketball court and playground equipment, and this very quiet neighborhood has little traffic, and makes for a great location for relaxation.

We are homeschool snowbirds with six children, and our new home incorporates all our favorite aspects from many years of renting different houses in the area. We have a screen caged pool, hot tub, outside kitchen including a large built in grill, sink and fridge, as well as a bar with four stools. The lanai features dining for eight, and several comfortable chaise lounges. Pool toys, beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs and a wagon to haul it all come with the rental. There is also an outside shower on the lanai, perfect for rinsing off sand after a beach trip.

We have five bedrooms. The master features a king bed with an electric adjustable base, sliding glass doors looking out at the lanai, a comfortable recliner, and a desk with a printer. The master bath has a large soaking tub, two vanities, as well as a large walk in shower, and the toilet in a separate room. The pool bathroom has a large shower, and connects to a bedroom with a queen, and a corner desk. The next two bedrooms connect via a Jack and Jill bathroom with two vanities and a tub/shower combo. One room has a queen bed and the other a double with a roll out trundle. The first four bedrooms all have smart TVs and large closets. The last bedroom also has a double bed and a roll out trundle. Our home can comfortably accommodate 10 adults, but easily can sleep 12 if some are children. Additionally we have a portable crib for use.

The kitchen has all the necessities, as we cook a great deal. There is a very large walk in pantry, and three counter height chairs for quick meals. Unlike many rental homes, we have many nicer kitchen appliances: a kitchen aid mixer, an instant pot that is also an air fryer, a ninja blender, good knives, and large pots and pans for cooking for a large family. Our inside dining table accommodates eight people. There is also a high chair available.

The open concept living area has seventeen foot ceilings and a large sectional, with four reclining sections, set up to look out at the lanai or at the 84 inch smart tv. There is plenty of space for people to spread out, and the sliding doors open away from the corner and making the living room feel a part of the lanai.

We have designed our home to be a child friendly as possible, with a child safety fence around the pool, allowing for peace of mind while still using the rest of the lanai. After many years of renting “child friendly” homes where every seat in the house was covered with white upholstery, we have learned that comfortable, but wipeable chairs and surfaces made for a much more relaxing stay with little ones. The entire floor is tile, with only small area rugs. We also a double stroller, car seats, boosters, toys, books and games available for use.

Outside the driveway will hold three cars, but there is also street parking. We keep our personal belongings in the the garage, so there is no garage access. Our home is on a double lot, so there is ample lawn for playing and large oak trees for shade. We have planted many fruit trees (banana, mango, lime, loquat, tangerine, jujube, avocado) and have many flowering plants around the house. Although there is a neighboring home on one side, the rest of our property is surrounded by trees, giving our home a very peaceful feel. We hope you will enjoy a stay at our home!
