A House Divided comes with a fully stocked kitchen that will leave you wanting for nothing, super comfortable beds and plenty of linens, loads of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. Feeling sporty? Check out all the games in the game parlor in the fully air conditioned/heated garage to keep you entertained for hours. Want to relax? Catch the latest shows and games on Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN on multiple TVs in the home.

Each room has a unique feel that will really make you enjoy your home away from home. The home has 5 bedrooms and 3 bath areas. We hope you enjoy House Divided as much as we do! We stayed here for our daughter’s graduation from Iowa State. It was a perfect place for our family’s gathering. Clean, comfortable, and extremely well appointed. It had everything we needed and we loved the game room and family game space downstairs. There was plenty of room to spread out, and plenty of seating for everyone to feel comfortable. They even thought of the little things… multi-outlets on each side of every bed, sleeves and holders for the remotes, etc. It made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We created this short term rental home with the premise that we wanted there to be activities for everyone to enjoy and the ability to split up into different areas of the home as you so choose. The term "House Divided" is a play on the rivalry between Iowa State and the University of Iowa. It's a phrase we see often in Iowa when both college teams are being supported under one roof. So, although the theme of our short term rental is "House Divided" we hope you and yours enjoy the place as a house united.

Why they chose this property

This location was chosen specifically for a couple of reasons. First, the location provides easy interstate access, from two exits, to Iowa State activities, downtown Des Moines events, and Adventureland resort among other local amenities. Second, the north and east side of the home (the backyard and side yard) will be developed into a 6.5 acre Ankeny city park for future outdoor activities.

What makes this property unique

There are so many options for each person of your group to enjoy themselves. Not only is the garage a full game area, there is space for little kiddos in the basement to play, others to have outside area to enjoy, and a fully stocked kitchen that will allow every chef to be at home.
