Val was very responsive to all of my messages. We woke up every morning and had coffee on the front porch with the most beautiful view. Highly recommend staying here.
Great stay for two families vacationing together. Had everything we needed - well equipped kitchen, plenty of linens for 11 people, great yard, awesome location and very helpful hosts. Would definitely recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were so friendly, and the house was super clean. There was plenty of space for our large group, and the yard was great to hang out in with evening shade in the back and a porch swing in the front. It did get a bit warm inside without central air, but the hosts left some tips to help cool it down.
Thank you Allan for the 5 star review! I appreciate the review and want to invite you to come stay again, under more pleasant circumstances. It was a pleasure hosting you!
About the host
Hosted by Valerie Andrus
I am from Corona, CA and my husband, Dan, is from Lava Hot Springs, ID. We have 3 grown children and 10 grandchildren. We love the summers in North Idaho; walking, hiking, swimming, and cycling. This home is where we raised our family. It's comfortable, spacious, and full of wonderful memories. We love meeting new people and want to share our family home with others.
Why they chose this property
In 1998, after moving to Post Falls from North Carolina, we found this little yellow house perched above a landscape of beautiful boulders. It didn't take long before it became the place we called home. We love that the Spokane River is just down the street and the North Idaho Centennial Trail runs passed our home, great for walking or cycling.
What makes this property unique
The name Cottage on the Rocks comes from the home's unique setting. It looks like a cozy little yellow cottage resting atop the large boulders that make this property so special.
