Nestled away on a small, private lake on the outskirts of Batavia lies a hidden treasure... A picture perfect place to get away from all the stresses of modern day life. You will feel like you've escaped to someplace much further away than you actually are - yet options for shopping, dining and entertainment can be found just minutes away. If you love the serenity of waterfont property, but don't love the sounds of jetskis and party boats screaming by all day, then this is the place for you! The Getaway is a freshly remodeled three bedroom, one bath lake house. The master bedroom includes a queen bed and features incredible lake views as well as a sliding door to the lakeside deck. The second bedroom is on the back of the house and also features a queen bed. The third bedroom is a converted sunporch with walls of lake view windows and includes a comfy full size futon. The main entertaining space consists an open concept floorplan with full brand new kitchen open to great room. The great room sectional sofa also includes a pull out bed for overflow sleeping, better suited to kids than adults. A wall of windows allows for incredible lake views day and night.

Very very beautiful house! The hosts were very sweet people.It was lovey to be able to walk out to the deck just from the bedroom! and sit on the deck and watch the fish, there is also a beach that you can go swimming in as well! Will definitely be coming back!

The house was very private right on the lake. House had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and right down the road if you need anything. I went to the beach the one day. There is a life guard on duty.

My family and I loved this place. Beautiful view over the lake. Nice and quiet. The house was comfortable and very well stocked. Jen was an informative host and made sure we had everything we needed. We appreciated the use of the kayaks, life jackets and fishing poles. While the neighboring houses are fairly close, the way the house is situated provides a lot of privacy. We would love to return in the future. Great central location for exploring Rochester/Buffalo/Niagara Falls.

Great cottage!

We were extremely happy with our stay. The place was just what we needed. It was very clean, had everything you needed in the kitchen, and bathroom. Jen was very helpful with the check in process and giving us information about the property including the small beach area- which my kids loved! Within a few weeks of our stay we needed to change our dates. Since the days we needed were available, we were easily able to update it. We were so appreciative of Jen’s flexibility! If we are ever in the area again, we’ll be back.

Great stay in Batavia….on a lake!

This is one of the best stays we have had with VRBO and we use VRBO’s quite often for our lodging on vacation. A lovely basket of snacks and coffee for Keurig was on the kitchen table….very appreciative of that greeting! Location is right on Horseshoe Lake in Batavia…really a hidden gem in Batavia. Big windows in each room give amazing views of the water. Jen is a very attentive owner and great with communication. Kitchen well stocked, which we appreciated!! All in all a great stay! Highly recommend this home!!!

From Stafford, Va to Stafford, NY

This is simply the best house we’ve ever stayed at. The view in the mornings and evenings were immaculate with a nice quiet neighborhood and sounds of nature. Perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee. The house was lovely, perfectly decorated so little hands (kids) would not be grabbing or breaking things they shouldn’t! Ms. Jennifer was an incredibly thoughtful host from providing a pack and play, to little thoughtful gifts left for the kids after a 9 hour drive. Super kind and responsive whenever we had a question. Wish all hosts were like this! Thank you for making this a stress-free memorable time for our family! We look forward to coming back in our future trips! ❤️

With a park like setting, The Getaway is an ideal place for relaxation. If you didn't know it is in Central NY, you might think you are staying in the Adirondacks. No gas powered engines are permitted on the Lake, so you will have a peaceful, scenic eperience.
