This was a wonderful stay!! Host was very proactive in checking in on us, made sure we had everything we needed and got us the check in code right when we asked. The home was spacious but also quite cozy- lots of spices and home comforts to make the stay so easy/ hot tub was also sparkling clean and warmed up quickly. My son and I enjoyed the trails right off the property and China Peak was a quick 30 min drive. Excellent stay, 10/10!
Shaver Haven was a perfect place for our team to train at altitude. There was lots of room for all eight of us and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. The Granite Ridge Loop running next to the house made it very easy for the team to take their morning run!

Family Ski Trip
This place was perfect for a family ski trip to China Peak. Everything about the house was perfect. We had 7 people and plenty of room and had everything we needed to eat, play, etc.
The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood, close to the lake. Very comfortable and well-stocked. The best feature is the hot tub to relax in and enjoy the night sky. Would definitely stay again.
We had 10 people in the house and we had plenty of room to cook and prepare food. The house was in great shape in a great neighborhood. We love that the house was 5 minutes from the lake. We will come stay again in the near future.

Meh...
HOUSE:
Cute log cabin, with big kitchen. It met our needs, but with all the ridiculous added fees (Owner Fee, Management Fee, Linen fee, Houskeeping Fee, VRBO fee) our nightly rate more than doubled. The house needed to be better organized and de-cluttered. Bring your own soap to wash your hand in the bathrooms. Otherwise, stocked with basic things and looots of books, cd's and games. TV's have a horizontal line scrolling constantly thru the picture. Hot water was hit and miss. Spa was very nice. Deck was covered in pine needles. We will choose another property next time.
MANAGEMENT:
I will NEVER book another VRBO that uses Evolve Management company. My horrible experience with them changing the number of nights of our stay because of their housekeeping staff issues, and increasing our contracted nightly rates left a bad taste. If we could have found another cabin in time - I would have cancelled.

Bonner & Hannah, we're glad this cabin met your needs, but we're sorry certain other aspects prevented you from fully enjoying your stay. It is standard for distribution sites to have cleaning fees and a service fee which are presented at the time of booking prior, but we apologize if that caught you off guard. Here at Evolve, all guests receive a booking confirmation breakdown upon securing a reservation, and we have a team dedicated to assisting travelers 7 days a week to answer any questions. We regret that your stay got off to a rocky start with the number of nights you intended to book. We understand our team refunded you for one night to make up for that convenience and we regret if that wasn't an agreeable solution. The owner works hard to ensure all guests who come to visit have the optimal stay. Thank you for sharing your experience so we can ensure upcoming guests have five-star experiences this cabin is known for. Best, the Evolve Team

Overall we enjoyed our stay, but there are several things that could be easily updated and addressed to improve this cabin, and they charge enough to do so.
Pros: nice quiet neighborhood, hot tub was decent, plenty of beds, games for kids.
Cons: -Carpeted living room with warning signs that you will be charged if there are any spots or stains when you leave. I didn't mind the request to remove shoes, but the threatening signage wasn't very welcoming. Maybe they should update their flooring?
- Only the downstairs bed was even close to comfortable. The rest were low quality mattresses that squeaked and crunched with every move.
- Bare minimum towels and blankets provided
- The kitchen was really outdated. I struggled with every single meal I prepared. The electric stove needs to be completely replaced. The pots and pans look like they are 30 years old, between scratched and old pans and the stove that either scorched everything or took 15 min to get hot enough to cook, preparing food was really frustrating.
- Only one functioning TV...this wasn't a huge deal, but it wasn't very user friendly, hard to figure out how to get to Netflix etc. There are two other TVs that look like they are from 1997, they don't connect to anything and are sort of just sitting there with no real purpose.
-Hot water is instant, but didn't last more than 10 min.
-On the third morning I turned on the lights to find the carpet crawling with big ants that were coming inside from the wall. They managed to bite me a couple times and I resorted to finding a can of raid and spraying the carpet to kill them and then swept them up. It's the mountains, bugs happen, but unpleasant experience at 6 am.
Overall I was expecting more. I have stayed at multiple cabins in this price range, and this one was the most disappointing. Its the attention to detail that makes or breaks a place for me, and this one failed to impress.
We enjoyed our stay! Property was clean, well stocked and easy to locate. The inside layout was a bit strange considering what the outside looked like (dated vs newer) but it more than met our needs for a ski weekend. Hot tub by far was our favorite part of this location.
The neighborhood was very nice. Used and outdated.
Great location. The coffee pot did not work and they did not leave enough towels. The couches and recliner were broken. The kitchen supplies were very worn. Take your OWN firewood, hand soap, shampoo, extra TP and paper towels. The owner return our call promptly and check is was easy and nice. The heat and lights were on.

Kathy, the homeowner would like to share the following message:
"Thank you, Kathy, for your feedback. Please note that we do not offer all the necessary toiletries for a trip. We provide what we can, but as guests use firewood and such, it's up to guests to bring their own. We apologize if your stay was not up to your satisfaction, but we do appreciate your stay with us. Thanks for coming to a cozy place in the woods!"

Perfect place to stay
This was a perfect cabin for 3 couples looking to get away and relax. Some of us never even left once we got there. All the amenities you could possibly need. The hot tube was a great way to relax. The trails around the neighborhood are clearly marked and an easy hike and beautiful scenery.

Great time!!
We loved this place! We came at the perfect time to enjoy the snow.. we loved the house!!! Only a couple issues.. One is, the room that has no door. Early risers had to tip toe around until others woke up. Two, was the trails out back. We were so excited to adventure but didnt know where to go. And we were told it was private property from a not so nice lady in the house in the back. Three, was driveway wasnt plowed. Because we had more then one vehicle we were sliding getting in and out but easy fix with chains.. overall loved this house and will come back again! Thank you!

We loved it
I would have given this place 5 stars but upon arrival we were locked out only for about 10 minutes. Then when let in the cleaners we're running back and forth to fill toilet paper and towels very nice people by the way. We had to sweep the deck clear of debris to enjoy the beauty of it. But other than those few minor issues the place is a beauty and we can't wait to visit again. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Very clean and quiet
Even with the lack of snow we enjoyed our family time! Plenty of hiking in the back and close to China Peak where my kids were able to get ski lessons. At the end of the day the hot tub was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors! Looking forward to our trip next year.

Great place! We loved the neighborhood and the walking trails.
The home with hot tub was perfect for our visit. House well stocked with everything we needed. Only issue is every step can be heard from the upstairs bedroom above the master, not great early in the morning if in the master.

Country Clutter
First view from the street pulling was very pleasant.Opening the garage to park and unload was first indication of what was ahead. 2 car garage but only room for 1. A full size pickup will squeeze in but passengers cannot get out their side. Don't back in, cause you will have to crawl to the otherside to get out. Christmas decorations still all around the house. Too many "decorations" for my taste. Had to clean the kitchen sink to use it. The people cleaning are making a ton for not doing anything. Nice refrig. Wood burning stove was nice in the evening.
The house has a nice floorplan and to rent to the general public, minimal is better.

Beautiful in the snow
The cabin was beautiful and perfect for two families to stay in. The large kitchen and outside deck made it great for cooking and bbqing....And who doesn't love the hot tub after a long day of sledding and snowboarding...
