Excellent location very close to Clovis Community Hospital and five minute drive to downtown Clovis and highway 168 for convenient access to Fresno and the Sierras. Extremely clean with new hardwood floors, carpets, and kitchen countertops. Great HVAC system with whole-house fan that keeps upstairs cool in the summer. Safe walkable neighborhood. Well-kept lawn, pool, BBQ, and outdoor furniture including dining table.

The house was nice, clean and spacious. It was a great place to stay to visit all the national parks around. We had 3 children in our group and wish there was anything in the house for you get families like toys or board games but other than that everything was great.

Lovely stay in Clovis

My teen daughter, her friend, and I stayed in this luxurious home with some family friends (2 adults and 2 children). There was plenty of space for all of us. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. We could have used one more body wash in the showers, since once of the bottles was essentially empty, but otherwise we had everything we needed for our one night stay. The home is lovely, spacious, in a safe neighborhood, and was an easy drive to all the activities we wanted to do.

Alan was very accommodating, given my last minute request. Thankfully, he let us have the house for the night. We arrived a little early, and he gave us access. The house was clean and the pool was fresh!

Expecting more

The house itself is beautiful, but there are things that need attention.Broken leg on coffee table, cobwebs in one of the bedrooms, blinds in main suite were fallen down, make up on door handles etc. Please note the host of the property was wonderful very attentive. I gave him a short list immediately within 18 hours because I didn’t want him to think we were bad guest and be charged. Once his maintenance crew fixes his very solvable issues it would be a five star stay.

The listing said the house had 1 king & 4 queen beds, but they were NOT queens; all 4 were only full sized beds. The host assured us they were queens, even though we measured the mattresses and all the sheets were full sized. He said no one had ever mentioned this before (really?) and there isn’t a big difference between a queen and full bed. If you have ever slept with 2 adults on a full bed, you know it IS a big deal - very tight & uncomfortable. There were 9 of us staying at the house; two of the men in our party are 6’2”. One ended up sleeping on the couch and one in the back of their car. The second night my daughter & her husband checked into a hotel because they slept so poorly on the full bed. I would never have rented this home if I knew 4 of the beds were only fulls. When I asked about a partial refund to offset the cost of the hotel room for one night and guests having to sleep on the couch/in the car, the owner sent a message listing and bemoaning all his operating expenses and didn’t offer anything to rectify the situation. At that point I contacted VRBO for assistance (who were great).Other issues:No washcloths were provided and hardly any hand towels for the bathrooms. The dining table only had 4 chairs (with peeling fake leather that stuck to your legs) and a couple of bar stools at that were too high for eating at the table. There was mold in a kitchen cabinet and smeared blood on one of the bedroom walls (see photos). The house felt “run down”.

Luxurious Beautiful Home in Clovis with Pool

I would say it was okay and a nice quiet neighborhood. I would say that the home did look like it could’ve been clean a little better. There was used bar soaps and scrubbys in the bathroom. The blinds in the master bedroom when we came in they were clipped with a binder clip to hold them up, when I looked under the bed, there was a big mouse trap. Also wasn’t comfortable because the frame was broken underneath so it look like there was wood planks to sub for the metal that was supposed to hold up the bed. There was a couple of the outlets that didn’t work , the cupboards had a lot of dirt and hair where the utensils and plates were supposed to go inside the kitchen. I can also say that there was a lot of miscellaneous things in most of the cabinets there was chairs outside that were a little questionable. They look like they were gonna break on us when we sat down The heads of the showers look like there was water damage or corrosion. One of the couches when you first enter, the house was unplugged so The reclining wasn’t working also for check-in. He told me 4pm but I didn’t get the pin until 415 to open the door. The pool was Nice but our second day there a pool guy came in through the side gate and we weren’t notified so that was a little strange. There’s also a camera by the pool for privacy reasons it was Questionable. One of my cereal bags that I had bought were chewed open a little bit from the cabinet on the left side of the fridge. I believe it was from a rodent.
