During your stay, the area was experiencing an unusual heat wave, and as is often the case in multi-level homes, the upper level can naturally be warmer due to rising heat. Fortunately, this isn’t typically an issue when temperatures are within the normal seasonal range, but we’re grateful you brought it to our attention. We hope the portable fans provided were helpful during the heat wave and easy to locate. If you found they were missing or difficult to find, we’d love to hear more so we can improve the experience for future guests. We also appreciate your note about the door widths upstairs. While the home has some charming older architectural features, we’re always looking for ways to enhance comfort and accessibility. We're sorry to hear that the air conditioning struggled during your stay, especially as the heat index was over 110 degrees at that time, and many systems throughout Virginia were facing difficulties during the heat-wave.
