This beautiful downtown condo is perfectly located for exploring the historic city of Savannah. Only 2 blocks from the famous Forsyth Park, one mile form River Street, City market, and the trendy Starland Yard district. With the only grocery store in downtown 1 block away, this is the perfect home base for your Savannah getaway. It can get hot here! So, when your done exploring take a dip in the pool and relax on the back deck. Then head back out to enjoy the city's exciting night life complete with ghost tours, trendy bars & pubs, shows, and some of the best restaurants in the country.

Hello. This is Chad & Bobbi and welcome to our little piece of historic downtown Savannah. We came to Savannah 23 years ago on a friend's recommendation and fell in love with city. We have been living in the area ever since. As time goes by the city just keeps getting better. I hope you will find it as charming, romantic, and quirky as we do!
Why they chose this property
You picked a great location to explore the city. The condo is only a short walk to the famous Forsyth Park where parts of Forest Gump were filmed and host to many of the city's festivals and events. While you can find Forsyth on any tourist map, you won't see local gems such as Mate Factor Bakery, Treylor Park Pizza or Betty Bombers WWII themed bar. All just a few minuets walk from the condo.
You are also a 20 min walk or 5 min Uber ride to River Street, City Market, and the new(ish) Plant Riverside District. This is the heart of the tourist area and a must see. These areas are home to hundreds of unique bars, restaurants, and shops.
You are the same distance to the new and trendy Starland District. This area is home to the up-and-coming entertainment destination. It is centered by the Starland Yard container park. The whole place is made from old shipping containers.
The condo is also located about 30 min from the areas only public beach, Tybee Island. This can make a nice day trip and offers plenty of its own restaurants, shops, and activities.

What makes this property unique
The house was built in 1893 for Mr. James Leonard. Mr. Leonard was a prominent Savannah business owner and is buried in the historic Bonaventure cemetery. You can go visit him if you'd like. We did! There is a plaque from the Savannah Historical Society on the front of the house, commemorating the building.
We also have a pool! You will not find too many properties in the downtown area with a pool. The lots are typically small and simply cannot fit them. While the pool is shared with the rest of the units, there only 9 so it's never crowded.
You will also find a picnic basket on top of the cabinet in the back room. This is NOT A DECORATION, please use it. Forsyth is a great place for a picnic and Kroger is located right in between the condo and the park.
