About this property
Four lots off the Atlantic Ocean & across from Washington Oaks State Park
Four lots from a quiet beach on the Atlantic Ocean, on a private road bordered by Washington Oaks State Park, is where you can relax and enjoy an entire home away from home. Our 3-bedroom, 2-bath (plus outdoor shower) beach house is yours to enjoy!
There are four airports within commutable distance. Ranking in order of proximity: Daytona Beach Airport is 40 minutes away, followed by Jacksonville (1:20), Orlando Sanford International and Orlando International (1:40).
The home is on the northern edge of Palm Coast in an area known as the Hammock. The area is very quiet, as we are at the end of a private gravel road, perhaps 100 yards from the ocean. Being bordered by a state park across the road, preserves the peace. The lots to the east and south of the house are undeveloped, so you will enjoy a lot of privacy.
As one travels north, about ten minutes away is the Marineland and an option to swim with dolphins. An additional twenty minutes will bring one to St. Augustine, the oldest town in the US. For history enthusiasts, St. Augustine gives you plenty to explore as you learn about the struggles between the French, Spanish, and English to settle this new land.
Traveling south, along A1A, one crosses through Flagler Beach, Ormond Beach, Daytona, and New Smyrna, among others. An hour southwest of our home is Blue Springs State Park which offers prime viewing of manatees during the winter.
I am just getting to know the area, but have enjoyed fine dining, great BBQ, amazing fish tacos, and live music at several of the restaurants.
When I told people I was going to remodel the home, I was advised that renters will destroy it and I shouldn't waste my money. I don't think that's true. I don't want to take a vacation sleeping on scratchy sheets and sitting on old sofas. When you work hard, you deserve to enjoy your vacation, surrounded by pleasant things. I want a home that I am proud to show my friends, and that is ready to host neighbors for dinner.
It's time to unwind, ride a bike, take a walk, or splash in the ocean.
We invite you to be our guest.

We have been married two years! My husband is German and I am from Kansas City. My husband works in China, I split my time between there and taking care of the home in Florida, escaping to the fresh air and calm that surrounds me in the Hammock.
Why they chose this property
We bought the home in May of 2015. Five streets over is a couple I lived with during grad school, although we were in Pittsburgh at the time. Every time I visited them in Florida, there was a sense of calm that came over me and my batteries were instantly recharged. I wanted to be able to share that same feeling with my family, so we decided to buy the house and make this our US home.
We are now in the process of buying our friends' house a few streets away on Rollins Dr. That house is a 3/2.5, 1800 sq ft with a pool, while it isn't as close to the ocean, the extended living room into the lanai sells it. We will own the home by the 1st of the year, so check back soon!

What makes this property unique
We are the fourth lot off the ocean & across the street from a state park, with a beach that is practically your own private escape. Being one of four children, I watched as my parents tried to stretch a dollar and still give us memories to enjoy. We have kept the rates very affordable for that same reason. No decent hotel can house eight people in beds for the price we are offering.
