Once a thriving African American community dating back to the late 19th century, Lincolnville boasts a rich history of resilience and cultural significance. Visitors can explore landmarks like the Lincolnville Historic District, which played a pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement, and the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, showcasing the neighborhood's heritage. Today, Lincolnville retains its historic allure while welcoming visitors to experience its vibrant atmosphere and deep-rooted history firsthand.
