Old cabin, great location

Good location, hot tub was great. You can hear everything inside the cabin. Could use some dusting. Everything except the gas grill was in working order.

Ideal spot to go anywhere

This location was awesome. Great if you wanted to go to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. No more than a 20 minute trip to Anakeesta in Gatlinburg. Easy to get to and lots of cool local places around it. Also fun to walk around the area where we stayed. Would definitely stay here again. Plenty of room in the cabin, only negative we could even come up with is not having fitted sheets on the trundle beds, which was not even enough to not give this a 5 star review.

We had a great time! It was a little hot upstairs but other than that it was great. I would suggest the owners maybe put a fan in the upstairs bedroom.

Great cabin for a spring time respite from daily life.

The cabin was as described, we loved the whole place. It made for a memorable vacation. My wife, our daughter, and our niece and nephew fully enjoyed the hot tub and all the amenities of the cabin. It was clean and orderly and well decorated to make you feel like you were in the mountains. To top it off we saw a bear off the back deck one morning before heading to the park for a day of hiking. Only disappointment was not having the gas grill that was shown in the pictures. Other than that the place was perfect.

It wasn’t a bad experience just would have loved to have gotten to use the hot tub , it’s was our main reason for picking the property! And the gas grill was out of order too!

My husband and I are not comfortable

The cabin is very nice, only there is a lot of dust and when we return from a walk, we see a rat inside the cabin, and the bed on the ground floor is very uncomfortable, my husband and I end up in a hole, it sinks completely, everything else very accessible in the kitchen, and living room

Great location

It's in a great location, close to everything. We liked the layout...great for our family. As others have mentioned it's very loud. Every time someone walked upstairs you can hear it downstairs. The the acoustics of the place with the TV makes it very loud upstairs and not very loud downstairs. Only an issue if someone is sleeping before everyone else. The hot tub and fireplace were not in working. The owners were very responsive and very pleasant to communicate with and the fireplace was fixed next day. Due to circumstances beyond their control the hot tub was not able to be repaired for our week long stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Spacious Cabin & Easy Driving

We enjoyed our week in this cabin. It was clean and feels very spacious. The downstairs bed was very comfortable. The upstairs bed not as much. Felt like the head was just slightly lower than the foot. There is easily enough room to sleep 6. One room has a twin and a trundle. We didn't try either of those beds so I can't speak to comfort level. Having laundry in the cabin was fantastic. It's a small apartment size unit but worked great. We loved the location outside of Pigeon Forge. When headed to Gatlinburg or Townsend you can take back roads and avoid the traffic. Also, there are no steep, windy roads to get here. I'll sacrifice view for ease of access. The road noise is pretty pronounced when outside. If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax on the porch this might not be for you. Inside the cabin it is barely noticeable. There were a few things missing from the kitchen but we were still able to cook all the meals we wanted to. I let the owner know so those could get restocked. The owners were very quick in responding to messages and were very pleasant to work with.

Owners/Host are terrible and have regard for their customers

We had reservations for 6 adults and only had linens for 5, this is not new issue as other reviews had this problem as well. We arrived around 1am in the morning after driving over 900 miles so had no way to get linens then the next morning the power went out and I found the main breaker tripped, I have a background in electrical and found that the main breaker was only 100 amp, which was undersized for the all electric cabin and not installed according to electrical code. I contacted the owners and they was rude and telling me that they live over a thousand miles away and it was late Friday evening and holidays so they didn’t want to bother. I finally convinced them to try to find electrician to correct the issue, they got someone to come look but they couldn’t fix the issue without replacing the entire electrical panel ro the proper in code 200amp panel.so we had to sleep with no heat when the temperature was in the low 20’s the small 100amp service breaker was burnt and very weak from overheating due to being overloaded for extended periods of time. To top off everything dealing with the incompetence of the owners they had nerve to tell me to leave the heat off inside and keep the power on their hot tub so it wouldn’t freeze. They have no regard for their customers. Trust me don’t rent the s cabin.

Why they chose this property

In 2006 we took a family trip to Pigeon Forge for the first time. We instantly fell in love with the area, its people, its beauty, and its serenity! We loved the cabin lifestyle and knew immediately that it would be our dream to own one. So during that summer, we began our search. We must have visited over 50 properties! 'Making Memories Too' was 'love at first sight!' It took us over one year to find it but in September 2007, we made it our own.

What makes this property unique

'Making Memories Too' is special because of its unique location. It is close to town. We are near the Pigeon Forge Parkway where most attractions are found and down the street from Dollywood's service entrance and the Gatlinburg Golf Course. The city of Gatlinburg is only about 15 minutes away! But, we are also far enough from the 'hussle and bussle'. This allows for the privacy and the closeness to nature one desires when visiting the Smoky Mountain National Park. Our favorite activities while visiting are hiking, snowboarding, white water rafting, zip-lining, and enjoying the area's diverse wild life and unique plant life. The cabin also sits on a 1/2 acre leveled lot which affords it ample parking and usable yard space. The kids just love being able to run around and play games on its yard! The cabin itself is like a 'doll house'! It has a wrap around deck, allowing total enjoyment of its natural surroundings while barbequing, or enjoying a dip in the jacuzzi, or just quietly rocking on its many rocking chairs or swing. The interior is spacious but cozy. The layout is perfect to allow privacy while still enjoying a family gathering. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for the challenge of even a Thanksgiving dinner! It is truly the perfect place to make lasting memories, thus its name 'Making Memories Too'. We visit often and truly love spending time at our home. It is truly magical! Our goal is to share our joy with our guests in the hope that you, too, make memories that last a lifetime!!!
