Pictures were better than the actual home. Smelled old and musty. Property was on the main drag. No place to sit outside except for in the front of house watching traffic go by.
The property was close to everything we wanted while also being just far enough away to not have to deal with the hustle and bustle of other summer tourists. The house was clean and had everything that we needed. Having some beach supplies available was very nice! We think that there should be a max of 5 adults staying here because one of the rooms is quite small and not enough space for luggage of even one person. Overall we loved our stay!
Overall had a good stay. Appreciated the amount of space and the general amenities. Main issue was when we went to do laundry at the end of our stay and the washer was coin operated. No instructions on amount or anything. Contacted to find out how to operate but didn't receive a response until we were ready to leave the next morning. The response was confusing as it didn't tell us how to operate the washer, and that we shouldn't have had to pay for it.

Where to start. The rules emails that came before the booking were a little overwhelming. No guests. No parties. No smoking. No vaping. Inside or outside. No pets. Etc etc. wasn’t a great way to start the experience going in thinking we would get in trouble for any of the above things, which we were not. For the price and the rules, the property was really underwhelming. The living room furniture were disgusting. There were used towels in the “breezeway”. The floors were disgusting. This is not a “duplex” as much as it is a house that has been refitted to host two short-term rental units (i.e. our “house” was separated from the other unit via one INDOOR door.)

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Some good, some bad
Pros:
-The property is centrally located to saugatuck and Douglas.
-Check-in was easy and property manager made sure all information was provided.
-Property is fairly up to date inside
- Beds were spacious and comfortable
Cons:
- Property is on a busy highway, be prepared for road noise
-If planning to use the washer you need $2.00 in quarters to operate. A pretty big pain since it does not indicate on the listing.
- I reached out to the property manager and they indicated they would drop quarters off the next day. They never showed 👎 or contacted me again
- The thermostat controls both this unit and the back unit…not a very thought out design
- Property manager had pest control company come out and spray while we were there. Feel as if those appointments should be scheduled when unit is not being rented
- Unit had a slight musty smell to it
