We spent a fantastic long weekend at the property. We were in town for a wedding that was held in downtown San Diego, and the location was perfect for a quick Uber ride to the event and walkable to the beach and bars/ restaurants in the area. We will definitely return for another stay.
It's a busy neighborhood, close to the beach, so having the garage is nice. Place was quiet. The walk to the beach is a few blocks, but not unbearable.
Great little space at the back of a split house. Had everything we needed: comfy bed, hot water in the shower, fridge, ac, and dog-friendly. Maybe we just had good neighbors in the other unit, but we did not hear any noise. Lots of places to walk to from here - most especially the beach. Would stay here again.
This was our 3rd stay in this neat little VRBO. The host was great at communicating with us when we had to extend our stay an extra day. We’ve said it before, when we come to San Diego this is where we’ll stay
Great location. We walked to the beach and to many restaurants in the area. The parking garage is exactly as described. Very very small. Definitely compact only. We found street parking both nights no problem at all. Would definitely come back and stay again!!
We loved this place. Has everything you need. Nice quiet neighborhood ( except for airplanes taking off ) 4 easy blocks to the beach. We will stay here again.
This one bedroom casita was extremely clean and updated with AC, garage parking, short walk to beach. Quiet peaceful street, close enough to the action on Newport Street with all the shops, restaurants, and bars. We will stay at this location again. Thank you for a great trip.
Our son moved to San Diego last fall so we will be here often to visit our new grandbaby! Stayed here in February and again this week. We will be back. Location couldn’t be better. Quiet neighborhood ( except for the airport traffic )
Amazing location and a great place to stay! The beach is about a 15-minute walk, a grocery store is just 4 minutes away, and there are great restaurants within a 10-minute walk—seriously, such a great spot! Having a garage for our car was a huge plus, as we never had to worry about parking or security. We had a very minor issue during our stay, and the host was incredibly responsive—calling us within minutes of sending our message. While there is some airport noise, we quickly got used to it. My only small suggestion would be to add curtains in the bedroom, as the blinds don’t fully block out the morning light.Overall, we had an amazing time—and we even got engaged in the house, so it will always hold a special place in our hearts!
Stayed 4 nights in Aug 2025

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Cute tiny home, but trick photography made it look much bigger than it is and the common wall shared with the other unit was paper thin and made it very difficult to get any sleep. The listing also specified a private yard which was not a yard or private at all and people were walking through it all day and night.
