About this property
Location!!! A one bedroom cottage, 2 blocks from Gulf, and Old Naples.
Cottage A is behind the Monarch Butterfly Migration Station. Enter the grounds via the white-shelled path to your patio and front door. Unlock the space via a keypad lock.
The main room has high ceilings and a fan above the queen bed. Two windows face the driveway, and one faces Gordon Drive via the front garden. The windows have white wooden shades that let in light and provide privacy when closed. The HVAC system includes both heating and air conditioning. There is a ceiling fan above the bed.
Stepping inside the room from the porch, you will find a comfortable reading chair on your left and a small desk with a chair on your right. The television is mounted above, allowing you to view it from the comfy chair and the queen bed. Two side tables with drawers and lights sit beside the queen bed. A stylish bench at the foot of the bed lets you store your shoes beneath it and leave your things on top. In the far corner is a closet with extra linens and supplies. Past guests have commented that the cottage is well-stocked with beach supplies, extra blankets, pillows, umbrellas, an iron and a board, plus two luggage racks for you.
An open, arched doorway leads from the front bedroom to a second room that serves as the living room and kitchen. A loveseat, also a pullout sofa, has a low coffee table in front and two side tables for drinks and lights in an alcove. A window looks out to the butterfly garden and Gordon Drive. A beautiful cabinet on the wall outside the bathroom holds your things.
The kitchenette runs along two walls opposite the sofa and coffee table. White marble counters on both sides of the deep stainless sink make the space pop. Standing at the sink, you have room on the right and left to prepare your meals. Floating wooden shelves above the sink hold white ceramic dishes. A window allows you to look out, offering views of the green courtyard and white-shelled pathways.
The white cabinets above and below add to the scene and provide storage. The full-sized fridge is behind the kitchen wall.
This kitchenette does not have a stove or dishwasher. Cottage A does not have laundry facilities on or off the property.
The bathroom has a new grey vanity with one sink and a white porcelain top. A large mirror and light above give the space a nautical feel. The newly tiled, glassed-in shower is stunning. We have a wooden shower seat that is a nice accent point, plus handy.
You have one parking spot in our driveway. Enter the property through an archway covered in bougainvillea vines, and follow the shell path to your patio.
Note - **Cottage A and B are attached under one roof line. The porches are adjacent, but not shared. In our pictures, you can see that Cottage A is on the right and Cottage B is on the left.
***Construction has been ongoing across the street from us for the past eight or so years. The building phase was most active in the last two seasons. I wondered, 'What do you do when living near a construction site?' The answer was to use noise machines and earplugs. I stocked them and lowered the nightly price. I use the VRBO Market Price Tool to set the nightly price.
****Guests, of course, would rather not have construction, but, saying that, we still have 5-star reviews, and reports say construction runs until 4/5 p.m. and does not occur on weekends. As I am not in control of the building schedule, I can only go on what the guests report in our feedback.
****The 2026 season looks like it will be trim on windows and doors, and the inside work.
As we are so close to the beach, Old Naples, and the National Parks and Everglades, there is enough to do to avoid construction hours.
If you are a late riser and do not want to wear earplugs, I suggest that you choose another spot.
Cottage C is farther away - we also have 385 and 387, on 8th Ave, which you can find in my profile.

Perfect location, easy walk to beach and all local amenities, fine dining, shopping etc. cottage was very attractive and clean. Great supplies, beach chairs, yeti cooler
The cottage was in a prime location. Very short walk to the beach, shops and dining. The cottage was very comfortable and although we didn't need much, it was supplied with all the essentials. We enjoyed having cocktails at the Sea Salt patio bar and Tulia was exceptional for dinner.
It was the perfect place for my holiday getaway visiting family!

Thank You, Karla! You were the perfect guest to match your perfect spot! Thank you for staying in our little Cottage A efficiency. It is just enough for a little work, a little visit, and a quick stroll to the beach and Old Naples.
Perfect location for walking to restaurants, shops and the beach. We really enjoyed the area for walking- it’s in a beautiful part of Old Naples. The cottage was very clean. The unit is only 500 square feet, so it is not a large place. The only complaint for us is that the towels are in need of replacement. The host was very easy to work with.
This cottage has lovely decor and is an easy stroll to the beach, shopping and dining. It has a nice little spot for sitting outside with morning coffee.
We had a wonderful stay in very pleasant surroundings in a very well laid-out, clean and functional cottage. Simple and efficient welcome. The sunsets are as beautiful as ever, just 200 yards from the cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay! We loved having coffee on our porch and being able to walk down to the beach or walk up to amazing shops and restaurants!! Kate is a great host making sure everything is perfect! Looking forward to going back!
EVERYTHING is walking distance. 3rd Ave, 5th Ave etc. The property is quant. Reminds me of Cape Cod with the white picket fence and the trellis. Planning next years trip now.
Katie is an exceptional host and the property she suggested we move to was outstanding. Remodeling was finishing on the cottage next door to our original rental so Katie thought we would be more comfortable at a nearby location. Everything we needed for a great stay near the beach was provided. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. The location meant we walked to the beach and breakfast. The bed was the most comfortable ever, hoping to purchase the same mattress for home. With family in south Florida we visit annually and I’ll look for Katie’s properties first every time.
I truly enjoyed my stay. Super comfortable, well appointed, proximity to beach, 3rd street WOW ✨ Kate is an amazing host always reachable, and happy to help with any request. Can't wait to come back again, and again!

About the host
Hosted by Kate Williams-Hewitt
Hello—I have a great life. After 30 years of teaching and raising my family in Maine, I could spend more time with my mother and sister as they found unique properties in Florida and Nantucket, Massachusetts. They are equally talented in color, design, and scale - especially with historic properties. I do not have that eye, but I love taking care of the properties and sharing them with guests.
Why they chose this property
My mother and sister both love historic houses. This c.19120 estate has always been a favorite for years. When Pam Watson put it on the market, my sister was ready. It is two blocks from the beach and just a few blocks from Old Naples. What's not to love?
What makes this property unique
It is on a corner lot and a double lot. The main house and the upstairs can be lived in as one, or a door can be locked to make them two spaces. The three cottages in the sideyard are bonuses. The yard is so beautiful with a monarch migration station and gardening.
