Unwind in our gorgeous, newly built Casa Roble, a modern bohemian-inspired hideaway in the quiet jungle community of Selvamar, Nosara, nestled in Costa Rica's Blue Zone on the Guanacaste Peninsula. Designed by the owner (who is also an architectural designer & builder) and completed in May 2023, Casa Roble was a labour of love! Intentionality went into every touch, from the luxurious saltwater pool, to the sprawling sliding-glass door connecting kitchen & sunken living room to patio & pool.

Once here, you will be greeted with the sounds of tropical birds and howler monkeys, have sightings of exotic butterflies and iguanas and get a taste for jungle life! You will also enjoy being close to amenities and all that Nosara has to offer. Being only 7 minutes from Pelada beach, rising early to catch the sunrise or arriving later for Nosara's renowned sunset could be a regular rhythm during your stay.

The Space:
Casa Roble's tranquil charm inspires you to leave your troubles at the door. The fully enclosed property offers privacy and reassurance, allowing for seamless flow and connectivity between indoor and outdoor spaces. While relaxing in the pool, snoozing on the queen-size swinging bed, or lounging on the generous outdoor sofa with feet up and coffee in hand, you'll feel comfortably nestled amongst the mature jungle gardens and the warm home architecture and accents.

If you enjoy cooking, you'll appreciate having a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal! This includes a vitamix, gas range, toaster oven/air fryer, chef's knives, lodge cast-iron cookware, bakeware, quality stainless pots, a BBQ, filtered water straight from the tap and more. The bathrooms offer private outdoor showers featuring stunning locally-made tiles and are appointed with locally-made earth-friendly hygiene products. The wooden cabinetry and furniture are locally and sustainably harvested teak, designed and made here in Nosara by the owner and local woodworkers. Many of the touches, from the handwoven wicker pendants to the art on the walls, are locally sourced and supporting local artisans.

If you MUST bring your work with you on your vacation, we've got you covered. Casa Roble offers five different comfortable workspaces with high-speed internet available throughout. Two of the workspaces, located in the multipurpose space, have an additional 4 hour battery back-up should the power go out. This allows you to finish up your zoom meetings without interruption.

From time to time, you will get the opportunity to enjoy the company of howler monkeys in the trees overhead and in the palms. These cuties keep to themselves, but do offer quite a wake up call in the morning! The garden contains various fruit trees that you are welcome to gently pick from when in season.

The home is divided into three separate buildings all connected by an outdoor living space. The main house is where you’ll find the formal entrance to the house, the kitchen, and our bohemian sunken living room. In addition, just off the kitchen, you'll find a panty with coffee station, laundry machines, a side-entrance off the driveway and a stylishly appointed powder room. Adjacent to the main house, is the sleeping house, where you will find 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Having this space separate offers the opportunity for some to stay up late or get up early without disturbing other sleepers. Lastly, we have the multipurpose space. This space has two work desks with comfortable office chairs. It has a large TV for media and movies. It also has a large L-section sofa that can be converted into additional beds (great spot for the teenagers!).

With a maximum occupancy of 10, our home can accommodate extended family, two families, small retreats and special occasions. For larger groups our casita studio can be added to your booking and can readily accommodate 2-3 additional guests.
