Thoughtfully designed guest home! We had everything we needed and felt as though we were at our own home away from home. The sauna was an extra-special touch, and Kari was accommodating for us when we wanted to use it. The hosts provided a nicely curated resource binder, which we used to schedule a last-minute, much needed massage at Lu’s. Overall, this was the perfect spot for us to stay for our fall get-away to the west Michigan coast, with easy access to all we wanted to see and do. Thank you, Kari and Tony, for allowing us to stay at your “Pool House”.
My wife and I visited Norton Shores on October 1 (2026). This spotless, pool house apartment is the perfect size for 1-2 people. The king bed and lack of closets don't leave much room for storage; if you're a light packer you'll find the single chest of drawers sufficient. Coffee, snacks and bottled water were provided; there's a dorm-style fridge good for leftovers and a small microwave. In-room sink was useful. The space is small but feels like a really well-designed hotel room. Quiet location 2 miles from Lake Michigan. I highly recommend leaving the car at home and walking to Lake Harbor Park. In the summer I'm sure the pool is a nice feature - be aware it is closed Oct-May. We didn't try the sauna, but it was almost too warm. Check it out if you're looking for something close to the Lake in a quiet residential neighborhood.

There was a smell to the fridge inside everytime we opened it almost like sour milk. The place is overall lovely and the pics don’t do it justice

We also appreciate you bringing your concern about the refrigerator to our attention. Following your departure, we checked the refrigerator and were unable to detect any odor, but we will continue to monitor it closely to ensure a great experience for future guests.

Thank you! It was so nice getting to know you both. Hopefully you can make it back our way again.
Absolutely adorable! We felt like we never left home. Super cozy and comfortable. Shower and water pressure was excellent. Great location from Grand Haven/Holland. Kari was so helpful on restaurant recommendations. Would definitely recommend this rental!
Absolutely perfect for one traveler or two visiting Muskegon and surroundings! The location is near services and a short drive to multiple water points. The owner makes everything easy, from booking to check in/ entry to communication once on site. They have thought of every detail of the space layout, interior design, and amenities so this gorgeous, peaceful place shines and has everything you need. The pictures are accurate and the owners are willing to engage or give privacy based on what you want. The only surprises here are finding great coffee, beautiful jewelbox decorations, and enjoying the most amazing sleep you've had in a while! We are already hoping to stay next year when we're in town... and get in that spectacular saltwater pool and barrel spa!
The pool house apartment is joyfully decorated and has a serene view of the pool and surrounding green space. The kitchenette is well stocked, and the bathroom smells like a relaxing spa. I did not use the pool or sauna but they are a lovely added bonus. It was a perfect fit for me and my pup on our visit.
