Apartment In Sestri Levante
The apartment is comfortable and bright and just a few steps from the sea and the famous Bay of Silence, the railway station and the pedestrian area. The apartment has been recently renovated and has a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and two beautiful balconies, offering comfort and tranquility in a beautiful setting.
Sestri Levante is a good starting point for excursions to the famous Cinque Terre, Portovenere and Portofino, but is also close to Genoa (30 min highway). You can visit all these also by train, tha station is just 250 mt from the apartment.
Sestri is a peninsula with two beautiful bays. One of the two is called the Bay of Silence.
The church of the Capuchin Friars dominates the tow and from the square of the church you can see the two bays.
On the opposite side of the Capuchins stands the bell tower of the magnificent church of St. Nicholas.
The second bay is called the Bay of Fables, in honor of Hans Christian Andersen who used to vist Sestri and wrote fables and stories here.
At the end of May is held a children's festival in his honor.
