Overall my stay was amazing. The property configuration is a little strange at first depending on the building but once you learn where everything it is, it is a great place.

I can’t speak for the whole resort but my room near the ocean was totally old and run down. Scratched and chipped furniture, etc. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub with a shower head in it. You literally have to climb up 2 to 3 feet to get in. Once in it is very slippery. I’m 59 years old but in a few years I’d be scared to take a shower here. Check in for my rental time share was supposed to be 4:00 pm but I had to wait until 5:15 pm. Oh, and they try hard to sell you a timeshare before they give you your key. Why 3 stars? The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Thanks to them for their hospitality and efforts.

I found out at check in that this is a timeshare and was subjected to a lengthy high pressure sales pitch before I was given a key.I repeatedly said I wasn’t interested and just wanted my key for access.Beyond that the accommodation was nice, clean and in a great location

The host was very unresponsive. We tried to contact him multiple times before our stay, and it took days to get a reply.He was supposed to send the check-in information at least 24 hours in advance but never did. We reached out again at that point and still received no response.On the morning of our arrival (check-in was scheduled for 4:00 PM), we went to the resort to confirm our reservation, but they had no record of it. We continued trying to contact the host all morning with no success.We contacted VRBO, and they confirmed that check-in details should have been sent in advance and that this situation was not normal. They also tried to reach the host for several hours, escalating the issue, but could not get a response.Around 1:00 PM, since no one could reach the host and the resort had no reservation on file, VRBO approved a refund and offered to help us find another place. We started looking, which was very stressful and difficult at the last minute.Then, around 3:00 PM—just one hour before check-in—the host finally messaged us saying the reservation was now available. There was no explanation or apology, just instructions to go to the front desk.Since we hadn’t secured another place yet, we canceled the refund and kept the reservation. Still, this was a very stressful experience that cost us valuable vacation time.
