Walk to the Beach!! Solar Powered Fully Renovated Villa!!

You can trust our multiple 5 star reviews. We want you to feel at ease during this process. Making sure that you have a great time is as important to us as we know it is to you.

Welcome to our piece of paradise in beautiful Puerto Rico!!! We have recently completed a full renovation of the villa. The accommodations include two air conditioned bedrooms, one with a bunk bed(full/full) and a walk-in closet and the other one with a queen size bed. It accommodates six guest by using a queen size air mattress that’s provided. Each of the two bedrooms have an awesome view towards the ocean. The villa has two full bathrooms that have been exquisitely renovated and decorated for your enjoyment. The kitchen is equipped with high-end, full size stainless steel appliances including a gas range, microwave, refrigerator and dish washer. There are also a toaster, coffee maker and blender for your convenience. The laundry room is equipped with full size washer and dryer. Necessary detergents are provided. Four beach chairs and a cooler are located in the laundry for you to use. Cable TV is provided with multiple English channels. Internet is available in the villa. There is a grill in the back terrace for the use of our guest as well.

The villa is literally around 100 feet from the beach where you can relax by using some of the lounge chairs provided by the Embassy Suites next door or bring the ones that are provided in the villa. The complex has a kids and a regular size pool. It also has a nice playground if you are traveling with small children. There is security 24/7 in the complex. There are multiple restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive from the villa. You can also walk to them as well. It would take about 10 minutes to walk to them as well. There is also a shopping area right outside the community where you can find a grocery store, pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens), fast food, etc.

It is our goal for you to feel like you are at home and that you have a great time. Feel free to let us know if there is anything you need during your stay and we will do our best to fulfill your need. The house is equipped with a solar powered system so you don’t have to worry about power outages and just concentrate in enjoying your vacation!!

My husband and I went to Puerto Rico for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised with this neighborhood and location. The hosts really have thought of everything you might want during your stay. They even provided comfortable Tommy Bahama chairs that we took to beaches off property. The place is sparkling clean. I highly recommend.

Lovely Property in Lovely Setting

Beautifully decorated villa overlooking Caribbean. Views of sunrise and sunset from it. 2 minute walk to nice crescent shaped beach shared with Embassy Suites. Owners were very responsive to our inquiries. Would stay there again if we return to the island.

Puerto Rico Adventure

We rented with our two grown children to revisit Puerto Rico after an earlier stop to board a cruise. The rental was a great place to relax at the pool or visit the nearby beaches. It was comfortable, convenient and easy to get used to. The kitchen/dining space worked for eating in or preparing snacks to enjoy outside. The laundry facilities were very useful!

Beautifully decorated and very clean condo. We had a few little problems with appliances but owner was very quick to respond and get fixed. The beach at condo is beautiful but rocky when you swim deeper than waist- high, we found nicer beach just a short drive away. A few suggestions to make it 5 star would be to add additional comfortable seating in the living room, wi-fi in unit, and some cushions for the very uncomfortable lounge chairs at the pool.

We decided to keep our trip to Puerto Rico after the hurricanes to volunteer. After a rocky start and some misunderstandings sorted, we arrived a day later than planned. The owners were very available and communicated promptly. The house is well decorated, clean and great amenities. The beach to the left of the complex was superior to the one close to the house. There are beach chairs and beach towels available. During the week most of the residents are away so you often have the complex to yourself. At the time we were there, the house was under repair, the pool was not often open and lacked internet and television services so were not able to enjoy the place at it's full potential but still feel that it is a wonderful location.

Amazing!

Our stay in this villa was absolutely amazing! Our son’s 13u baseball team came to Dorado to play in a tournament against teams from baseball academies around the island. The rest of the team stayed at the Embassy next door. We definitely made the better decision staying in this villa. It gave us so much more room than a hotel, with separate bedrooms and bathrooms for us and our son. It was so nice to have a kitchen to cook easy meals, and a washer and dryer to wash his uniforms between games. The location was perfect, right on the beach and tucked way back in the neighborhood. The villa had everything we needed and more. Our favorite part was waking up to the sound of the ocean waves every morning. We felt very safe in the area, and loved every minute of our stay here. We would definitely come back. The owner was so easy to get a hold of and genuinely cared that we had a great time. I would highly recommend renting this villa.

Beautiful Location

We came on a family trip to Puerto Rico. It was our first time visiting and so glad we found this beautiful location. It is so close to the beach and you can hear the ocean all night long. The place is clean and modern. The hosts were readily available even during the island wide blackout.

Amazing!

This villa was PERFECT in every way! The only thing you need is your groceries and yourself! From towels, to condiments, to toys they have EVERYTHING! The beach is a stones throw on a very relaxed and never crowded area, the pool is even closer and also never had more than a couple people in it. Getting to the villa was a little tricky but it was late, dark, and raining and once you find it you are fine. The owners were so fast to respond to any questions and being a private rental makes all of the difference in the world! By far one of the best rentals I’ve ever had the chance to stay in. 5+ stars!

We had a wonderful stay! The condo was very clean and updated. The kids loved the pool and it was a short walk to the beach. Several good restaurants in Dorado. The weather was perfect as well. The owner was quick to respond if we had any issues. The owner was very helpful with any questions regarding local restaurants, activity, etc. The kids loved standing on the beach and watching the fireworks for New Years Eve. We could see fireworks for miles!

The villa at Dorado del Mar was lovely! It wa svery well kept with interior decorator touches!

The location was in a safe gated community. There were signs of damage here and there from Maria. However, most of the units were updated. This particular villa has a lovely impression the second that you open the door, very clean with kitchen, bath and decorating upgrades. Every bedroom has a balcony with a view of the pool on one side and the beach on the other. The location was perfect for the pool and beach access. I used HomeAway with trepidation only to be pleasantly surprised. Wilfredo gave explicit instructions with quick response to my texts. It made me wish that I could stay longer. Also, I was relieved that the villa was actually nicer than it's pictures!

Perfect Villa near the beach and pool

I spent a weekend at the Villa with my mother, son and other relatives. The villa has a beautiful decoration, is very neat, and clean. Has everything you will need. My mother loved cooking in the very equipped kitchen. The security guards were always available in case of any questions or help needed. Wilfredo, the owner, was very flexible and accessible. The location is great, a few steps to the beach and pool. We even saw a wedding at the beach! I really hope the access system to the beach, damaged by Hurricane Maria, is fixed soon. I highly recommend it. I hope to be back!!

European styling with nautical touches -- Quick walk to pool and beach

Beautifully rebuilt villa/townhouse with kitsch nautical notes to remind you that you are at the beach. Highlights -- ** Villa is spotlessly clean. ** Full baths upstairs and downstairs -- a blow dryer, bath towels, beach towels and other supplies were in the bathroom or linen closet. ** Modern kitchen with full-size appliances (we hosted a 4th of July beach party for our PR family with plenty of kitchen/dining room space for cooks and samplers). Also full-size washer/dryer (and supplies) with the unit. ** On the back patio, the Owners set-up a new gas BBQ which we can attest worked very well for grilling steaks and seafood. The back patio also has an outside dining area. ** There are rocking chairs for relaxing on the front porch near the pool. ** Largest bunk beds we have seen -- both top and bottom must be standard beds. ** Quiet area -- both good and 'sad' as several units still show hurricane damage and are empty, but this gated community still has friendly neighbors. ** Owners are easily reachable for any concerns or questions. ** Owners recommended Katrina's as their favorite Dorado restaurant (within walking distance) -- WE DO TOO! -- you could spend a month and not enjoy all their PR specialties (and that doesn't include their secret food and drink menus). But, do try the rice and beans--sounds ho hum but the spices and vegetables are amazing. ** Get a car and an excellent GPS. Many road signs/street lights are not replaced/operational and you just have to trust the GPS. There are also tolls (rental cars have AVI sticker--we were a little leary of unmarked toll charges (tolls are not something we have in New Mexico), but our bill for the week was $27). ** Easy highway trip from villa to catch the Cantano ferry ($0.50 each way/person / $0.25 each way/seniors) to/from Old San Juan (Cantano terminal parking is $4.00/day). A short ferry trip that gets you out on the water and eliminates limited parking hassles in Old San Juan or El Morro. The road also runs right past the entrance to the Bacardi rum plant/tour location. ** Sunshine every day -- so there hurricane season! Thank you Wil and Glory for hosting us in your unit. We had a wonderful and memorable time in Puerto Rico!

We are originally from Puerto Rico but have been living in the Washington DC area for the last 23 years. We go to Puerto Rico at least once every year. We have been looking for a place to buy close to the beach for at least three years until we found this place. Our plan is to be able to use it during the winter months starting a couple of years from now.

Why they chose this property

We settled on this property primarily due to its location. Knowing the island as well as we do, we believe that living here we can are close enough to San Juan for everything that it has to offer in terms of activities, events, Old San Juan, etc. but also we believe that we are far enough (25 minutes drive) to avoid the traffic, etc. We have stayed here already for a few weeks in the summer and can't wait to be able to go there for a longer period of time.

What makes this property unique

The property is equipped with a Solar Powered electric system so you don’t have to worry of power outages!!

We love that this is a private community with security guard presence 24/7 that makes it feel extremely secure. We love seating in the back deck and listen to soft music while enjoying some drinks and perhaps cooking something in the grill. One of the coolest features is that you can decide in the spur of the moment that you want to jump in the pool or take a stroll on the beach and all you have to do is walk there and arrive in a couple of minutes. There are a lot of very nice local restaurants that we love to go to within a 5-10 minute walk or drive with very reasonable prices. There are also aquatic activities to do nearby.
