OCEANFRONT-Shorty's Hideaway-Spend More Time At The Beach-Pet Friendly

Welcome to Shorty's Hideaway ocean front home. Just steps through the sand and dune grass to miles of pristine sandy beach. This beach house has been in the same family for all these years and has recently been remodeled with a completely new kitchen, modern appliances, new picture windows and heated floors. The open floor plan is perfect for family and friends to gather and share beach experiences or games for a little friendly competition. There is plenty of room for kids to spread out and within view while preparing meals in the fully stocked kitchen. The comfortable living room has a smart TV with a blue ray player or just hang out and watch the surf through the living and dining room view windows. Stay warm and dry snuggled in a cozy throw and observe the dramatic winter weather. There is a master bedroom with a king size bed with a smart TV and an ocean view along with a roomy master bath. A guest room and guest bath located on the other side of the living room and no stairs required because all spaces are at street level. BBQ on the east patio located out of the westerly winds or set in the sun and enjoy that novel you've been meaning to get to.

Walk south to Bob Straub Park and keep going to where the Nestucca River meets the ocean or head north towards the picturesque Cape Kiwanda and Haystack Rock. There is so much to explore along Pacific City's beautiful coastline including beach combing, whale watching and horseback riding. Bring your kayak to launch into the Nestucca River or rent one locally.

Sit on the dune behind the house and watch your kids and pets play on the beach, while the sun goes down for that spectacular sunset. Play a little, dream a little while time stands still. Reserve today and find out for yourself why nothing comes close to staying ocean front.

What a great little cottage! Beautiful beach location, cozy and clean! Easy access to all we wanted to do along the OR coast. Comfy bedding, nicely decorated. Will definitely keep this place in mind for a future trip to the OR coast.

Shorty' is short of nothing!

Fabulous cottage. Amazing location. Stunning views. Beautiful bluff you can sit at for hours. Extremely clean and very well appointed. You will love Shorty's cottage for sure.

Cannot say enough good things about Shorty's Hideaway. Most well-stocked and clean VRBO we have ever stayed at - I was so impressed! The location is perfect - we walked from Shorty's to everywhere around town all weekend and spent so much time going to/from the beach. Would love to come back some day!

Great view with easy access to the beach is just the start of all the great things at Shorty's Hideaway. Kitchen is the best equipped. Beds are comfortable. A return visit for us is a must.

Great location

This home's location is perfect! Right on the beach, walking distance to Pelican Brewing Co. and Stimulus (a fun coffee/bake shop) Also, perfectly located on Hwy 101 between Tillamook & Depoe Bay. Shorty's is a well maintained home with updates. We loved our stay here and Ellen was awesome with communication. We are already planning our next stay!

a getaway to recharge and relax Aug 5th-8th

Shorty's Hideaway is the perfect getaway to relax and recharge. We spent hours just sitting on the bluff looking at the beach and Surf. Just steps away from the beach. The house was perfectly equipped with everything you need. Perfectly located in Pacific City, minutes away from Cape Kawanda and Pelican Brewing. We will be back again as this will be our go to place to stay when we go to the coast.

A Rental With Everything!

Shorty's Hideaway is a beautiful and quiet place to stay on the Oregon Coast. Small home with big offerings including beautiful decor, kitchen that a chef could prepare meals in, amazingly comfortable mattresses, stunning views, tranquil beach and every item you may need. Pacific City and the area offer small town excellence in dining and shopping. A gem for sure.

Kick-Back Bungalow

A very sweet, up-dated home with an amazing view. After all of the updates you still enjoyed the beach feel. Enjoyed both shopping areas but did not get a chance to use any of the many restaurants. Did find out that all recommended walking is for those with younger legs. A lot of ups, downs and sand. Katie was a gem. But the house is so well supplied that you won't have to call on her a lot. When we did need her she was right there. Thank you for sharing your lovely beach house.

Great Beachside Location

Loved the location overlooking the sand dunes and beach. Very comfy, clean residence with a well supplied kitchen. Town center just 3/4 mile away. Property manager Katie was extremely responsive to questions and saved the day for us when we locked ourselves out! Property is pet friendly!

Pure Bliss

All the "Cs"!! Clean, Comfortable, Cozy, Convenient. We had a wonderful stay here. Loved walking the beach with our pup and you didn't feel the need to go anywhere. Kitchen had everything you needed. Washer & Dryer were impeccably clean. My only complaint would be that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you for having us!

As fantastic as we remembered…

We stayed here almost 10-years ago; and decided to go back for my husband’s birthday. It was awesome. Such a great location. You can walk in to town, across the dune to the beach, or to the state park. If you plan ahead, you would never need to leave! ;) The house is updated, comfortable, and has all of the amenities you would need. Highly recommend. I am sure we will be back again. Someday. :)

Shorty’s Hideaway

Location, location, location. Shorty’s Hideaway is located between a public beach access and Bob Staub park. It’s near to town on a quiet street easy to walk the beach from the house or drive into town for dinner. The house has view windows of the beach grass and ocean, that fill the space with light. It worked great for two couples. The primary suite has a view to the ocean and an en-suite bathroom, lots of storage and a tv. The other bedroom is on the other side of the house and has a bathroom right next door. It’s cozy and has thoughtful hanging storage. The kitchen os l’arche and well appointed. The rental agent answered the phone promptly when we called to let them know the main suite smoke detector started beeping o the early morning. Fortunately we found the battery and light bulb drawer and replaced the battery. The agent was apologetic, we called just to let them know that we used the last battery and she said they were replacing all batteries next week. We would highly recommend a stay at Shorty’s.

Nice layout of the house. Cute interior and beautiful views. Loved the garage to house access, made everything feel more secure.The beds were too hard and too raised for older folks. The couches pulled out to more comfortable beds but were not great to sit on for any period of time and no chairs to be another option. The walk to the beach was difficult. Great view from the top of the bluff but tough getting down and back up, so unfortunately, our time near the oceans edge was limited. We pulled the BBQ grill out to use it. It was "used" and had food on the grill, and had almost no gas to cook the meal.Great for our pet. She loved the tile floors. Thank you for the pet food mat and additional doggie bags. The temperature controls left some of the house much colder then it should have been.Would recommend for my adult children but not for mobility limited or those with children.

Quick trip to the coast with the family. The house was very clean and had stocked well for functional kitchen and beach play. Extra linens for the fold out coaches and towels both for showers and beach use. Very awesome location and easy access to the beach. Highly recommend.
