Just like your old uncle’s house. Funky orange carpet, pull string blinds, yellow fridge and cupboards in a color not found at ikea. Fireplace in the house. Firepit in the yard. Baseboard electric heat. In the winter you may need to start a fire to keep the house warm. Nice and clean. Water was hot. We walked to the San Antonio hot springs from the house. Delightful. Quick a hike back up when you head home but saves you a long drive to the main trail if you are up to the hike. On the way back Spence hot springs is on the left.
Cozy cabin with enough amenities to make your trip easy but to feel like you’re getting away from daily life. The hosts were very helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely take my family back to enjoy the nature around and on the property

All amenities were provided by Hosts. They covered everything we didn't have or forgot to bring!! Overall a Fantastic time and immeasurably pleasant!!!!
This place is amazing! Not to far from Albuquerque. A perfect place to enjoy nature for the weekend. Peaceful location too... Cabin has a full kitchen set up to make them homemade meals. Full bathroom was a nice thing to have up there too. Pet friendly was a plus!! We are definitely going back to this place in the future.
This cabin is nestled high in the Jemez Mountains in a small neighborhood surrounded by national forest. The trails around the cabin are excellent whether you step out of the cabin for a hike or drive to one of the many trailheads along Highway 4. The area around the cabin was very quiet during my wife and I's weeklong stay. The kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation and the cabin was quite comfortable for sleeping and lounging after a long day of hiking. I would recommend it for people wanting to get a way from busy everday life!
We had a great stay (2 adults and 2 small dogs) and would definitely rate it 5 stars. We especially loved the seclusion, the beautiful natural setting, the big lot with pine trees, and having the Hot Springs trail right from the house. It felt peaceful, private, and perfect for a hiking getaway. The cabin was also very warm and cozy, even in freezing weather. We were surprised that we actually turned the heat off at night and opened the windows while it was 25–27F outside. The heating lamp in the bathroom was such a nice touch and very useful in the cold. I was also genuinely impressed to see a feminine emergency kit in the bathroom — that was such a thoughtful detail and showed real care from the host. The only thing I’d mention as a small suggestion is that the twin bed felt a little too small after long days of hiking. I think a queen or king bed would make the stay even better, even if it meant giving up the nightstand.Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and would happily come back.
