Lake Cottage - Put your Feet up and Relax!

Welcome to 12 Sandy Cove Road and thank you for considering spending your vacation in our beloved little cottage!

We have 2-queen bedrooms and a bunk room that easily sleeps 6 children. There is 1.5 bathrooms inside, plus everyone’s favorite a new outdoor shower.

We are directly on the waters of beautiful Lake Kanasatka, Calm and quiet enough to listen to the loons and watch the sunrise and sunset in peace…. While big enough to tube and waterski or enjoy a day of Kayaking or paddle boarding.

Enjoy one of the best Mountain View’s on the lake from our large 3 season room.

We leave you 3 kayaks, water and yard toys, life vest, beach chairs and a gas grill .

The cottage has its own lawn for games and BBQ’s and its own dock

You are also directly adjacent to the private association sandy beach, with a swimming platform and picnic benches, shared by only 9 other homes. There are many local shops and marinas that rent motorboats and paddle boards. Kanasatka is a straight forward lake to navigate

There are so many places to go nearby: We know you can google, but a few recommendations…
“The big lake” Winnipesaukee is just across the road.
You can walk to Center Harbor for the closet access its larger beach and playground. Also, larger docks with options for ferry/cruise rides.
Center Harbor also has a small supermarket, hardware store, liquor store, book store, a couple of cute clothing and gift stores. In addition to many dining choices.
It is a short ride to many more delicious coffee shops, breakfast and lunch places, dining and ice Cream! More shopping, Antiques, Hikes, craft fairs, spa’s, and even a small movie theater are all close by for any kind of activity you are into..........But, there is plenty to keep you happy without ever leaving the cottage! We try to make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable. We have a fully Stocked Kitchen and all new mattresses! For rainy or quiet days, we have a smart TV, gaming system, books, board games and puzzles. There are portable AC’s, fans and the house is heated to take a chill off if needed.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please start the wash with used dish towels, hand towels and bath mat.
If you used our linens and have time to put in the wash that would be great. The cleaners will be there with in 2 hours or less of you checking out and it is a big help!
If any of the blankets, mattress or pillow covers are soiled please remove and leave by the washer, if not leave them on the beds. Thanks

This house had more fun things to do inside and conveniently outside than we had seen before. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were very happy to see the electric kettle. We had a great time and would recommend this rental to anyone.

This was the perfect spot for our family to relax and unwind for a week. The view of the lake was spectacular! The house had all the comforts of home. We enjoyed the kayaks, floating in the lake and s'mores over the fire pit. The location is great- you're close to Center Harbor, Meredith and Laconia. We would highly recommend it and hope to back again ourselves.

Dawn and Michael have made this summer home very comfortable. The beds/bedding were great quality which made for a good nights sleep. The kitchen was well stocked and the livingroom very cozy. The view of the lake was unforgetable...

My family has been renting homes on Lake Kanasatka for over a dozen years, and this house is by far the most beautiful, comfortable, and well-equipped we’ve stayed in. We love to cook, and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need and then some.The beds were incredibly comfortable (which was a first in all out years of renting), as were the multiple seating areas throughout the home. The views from the kitchen and living room were absolutely spectacular. The location is ideal, tucked away enough to feel peaceful and secluded, yet close to shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities in the Lakes Region.

Time with family

Great little cabin with everything you need that will make you feel right at home. Easy access to all there is to do in the Lakes Region. Short ride to Center Harbor and Meredith that offer numerous dining options. We'll be back again.

The rental was meticulously neat and had every accommodation you'd need in terms of a home away from home. Not too private as it's part of an association however we really enjoyed it and he neighbors were all so kind

Great stay

We had a great time at the house. Fit 6 of us comfortably. Communication from the host was great. There was a little confusion because the listing didn’t state that they do not provide bed linens or towels, but we worked out a quick solution with them. Lake was clean and clear and the porch was a favorite for us all! Lots of nice touches around the house and plenty of games and books for everyone to enjoy! Thanks for a great stay!

Relaxing and fun lake retreat

I really wanted to write a review for this property, because I usually don’t reserve places that have no reviews, and only booked the property after talking with the owners (the other review showed up after I booked it). I completely agree that the house is immaculate, well-laid out and that there were plenty of things to enjoy with a family of five with multi-aged children. This lake is more serene than Winni but lively enough for the kids to waterski and tube (almost no other boat traffic). We were excited to pop our boat in and use the house’s private dock (the boat ramp is not too far away). Looking at the posted photos - everything in the main picture with the kayaks is all part of the house property, including a lawn for yard games, and walk in lake access, which is adjacent to a sandy “private association” beach (only a few houses) and we only saw one other family on the beach while we were there. The entry to the lake is shallow and easy for small kids. I found several relaxing spots for my morning coffee, to listen to the loons and enjoying downtime with a book. The owners are super helpful and kind. We will definitely be back!
